Tires For Tow Vehicle?
I have a 2005 2500 Duramax and considering new tires and need recommendations. I only use for towing fifth wheel. I want to go from Hankook to Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. I have the Duratracs on my work truck 2011 1500 Silverado and have approx. 15K and very little wear. I like the off road deep tread, although the first 3-5k drives spongie with 55psi load E. I notice alot of Torque on the rear tires/axles and my Hankooks wear to fast. Like to hear from other Duramax/fifth wheel towers/owners input? Thank you for your time. I noticed RV MFG's are not installing enough smoke detectors in their products. If the only smoke detector is placed in the kitchen/living area and a fire originates in a bedroom with the door closed???? . . . . In addition, smoke detectors placed on the ceiling should be placed on the wall instead. One dinky fire extinguisher in a new rv from the MFG. is not enough. I bought a larger multi-purpose for outside compartment and one near the bedroom, & purchased an additional smoke detector (for bedroom) and carbon monoxide also. I purchased a AF 295T 2015 with many options included. I considered The 275L but did not have enough storage, it compares to the Cougar by Keystones floor plan. Northwood MFG. gets credit for designing an attractive RV for the PRICE, but they face manufacturing challenges like everyone else, I searched and studied all RV MFG's fifth wheels and Artic Fox (Northwood MFG.) was the best fit for the dollar. There is no perfect trailer out there, a lot of the decision making is going to be based on YOUR NEEDS.645Views0likes0Comments
