Been through BC and the YUKON several times to get to Alaska. Also saw Quebec and Ontario but only a small part. We did think we would carry on travelling this year and go do North East Canada but our £ pound had gone very weak due to Brexit so we are taking a break hoping the Sterling pound will recover in a few years and then we may come back and start over. Thank you all for backing us up we feel a lot better now Julea & Alan FieldRe: Experienced Rvers offer help in ForidaFYI you can see by our user ID Rolling Rolling we registered on RV.NET in 2010 with this user name and have been posting since then. Maybe not often on “Beginning RVing” but on other RV.NET forums. We also had another user name back in 2003 which we used until 2010 when for technical issues with this site it got lost in the system and we had to start up with a new login. Suspicious???? We have been busy enjoying our travels and now as we end this chapter for a while we wanted to share our experience and knowledge with others. As stated in the original post “we also have maps and bits and pieces to give away which we can't take home with us”. TheLuvShack I’m not sure what you are trying to imply, maybe we should retract our offer??Re: Experienced Rvers offer help in ForidaThe 96 states always gets a reaction , we have stayed/ visited all 50 states and visited 46 of them again. So what are the 4 we haven't been too again ?Experienced Rvers offer help in ForidaHi There to all you great wannabe campers and travellers . We started our journey back 2003 arriving from the UK and buying an 1 ton dually truck and 36ft 3 slide 5th wheel. We travelled for a year and went back home for a few months stored the truck and RV and then came back for another year. We have continued to go back and forth for the last 14 years and have now coverd 96 states !, Alaska twice, and 420 campgrounds and most Natioanl Parks. We are now taking a break for a while to see other parts of the world. If any newbie is starting out we are in Florida on the WEST coast for the next 5 weeks until the end of March and would be more than happy to spend time with like minded people to share tips and trips we also have maps and bits and pieces to give away which we can't take home with us. Also please feel free to drop us line if we can help with anything, Insurance tips, driving licenses clubs to join etc,. We will be just South of Tampa for the next week Alan & Julea Field The Happy travellers GMC 3500 HD SRW 6.6 Duramax 2007 Peterson Industries Excel limited Edition 2006 30rsoCovered RV Storage Florida WANTEDHi There.. We are looking to protect our RV from the Florida sun this winter as we need to fly back home to the UK for awhile. We will need storage for the winter months from late October till January/Febraury or maybe even uo to March next year 2017. We have found a few online ( very expensive ) and there are loads of outside storage places as little as $35 a month. Does anybody know a place we could put our 30ft 5th Wheel inside for around $100-$120 a month, I did find a website months ago for $4 a foot but I never wrote the details down. We are not too bothered where in florida just not the pan handle and preferably west coast or inland. Thanks for your help here Julea & Alan 30rso Excel 2006Re: Brits in an RV - Denver to San FranciscoHi There . Not sure if you will still get this as these posts are a little old and you did put that you were traveling Sept 2015. Private message me for lots of info. We live in the UK and have been traveling the states on and off for 11 years. Have covered all 50 states and every national park. I would disagree about crossing Mono Lake off your list for starters. Look forward to speaking with you guys Julea & AlanRe: New RV'r "Please help with some questions"Hi There . We are from the UK and have been travelling around the states on and off for 11 years. To post on here what we do to register all the Rv's we have owned would be a little long winded. If you send me a private message with your contact details we can help you out with some ideas We are currently in the UK but due to fly back 8th June for some more touring . we have a truck to buy on this trip so are going through the same thing..thinking of setting up an LLC to save on taxes. Alan & Julea The Happy TravellersRe: Stink Bug problemThank you for all your replies, made some pretty depressing reading. We have heard about the water bowl and light but that won't be an option for us while the RV is locked up unattended for 12 months. Guess we have to look for some eggs and kill those before they hatch. If we can get as many as possible before we leave as Louisiana is not known for them. We find it amazing that in our 10 years of rving around all 50 states this is the first time we have ever come across these little buggers. We have camped in the north West in Fall before but no Stink bugs then. At least the ones we have killed in the last week didn't seem to stink when we squashed them ! Thanks again keep the ideas coming Julea & AlanRe: Yellow stains from suction cups shower wallsBCbounders Yes I agree about the sun, think it is going to be the only way, it has been over 2 weeks now since I removed all the baskets and the yellow spots are very very slowly fading away, not sure if they will ever go and I won't know as we have sold the camper which leaves our company in 2 days time. Thanks again for all your replies JulieStink Bug problemHi There all you Rvers Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but couldn't find a topic that covered BUGS. We picked up some stink bugs in Gettysburg last September in our 5th wheel, they travelled with us down to Louisiana. They would appear everyday, we put the RV in covered storage for the winter from November till now. Upon opening up the RV last week the Stink bugs have appeared again, can't believe they stayed alive all winter must have had some eggs somewhere which have hatched. We are not taking the RV out of storage just giving it a spring clean, it will then stay for 12 months in Louisiana in the same covered storage. What can we spray or use to get rid of these STINK bugs for good, we will have no access to the 5th wheel for a year as we live in the UK and are going home in 10 days time. Thanks for your replies. Julie
