Yes, great OP! Dagnabbit, why does buying vehicles of all kinds have to be so stressful! Let's all be totally ready to walk OUT. Leave them rascals. I'll tell you one great dealer: S&S Apache in Jackson, MS. Mr. Smith, owner, is a wonderful man! We bought our second trailer from him in '78. Oh me, today, I am repairing my shower pipes. Not the actual junky faucet, but the pex elbow that screws onto the faucet. The plastic nuts on both of them broke on our last trip, 9 pm when we arrived and found we had a leak! I had to cut a hole in hall paneling behind the faucets to access the pipes. Oh well, at least I'm learning about how to connect pex fittings! Had to buy the crimping tool for 3/8, 1/2 fittings, a 20' piece of 1/2" pex just to get 6" of it! Just joined Good Sam, again, after many years hiatus, but have had travel trailers since our first 16' bought in '77. This one is our third, bought new in '98, a 25' Aerolite. We love the travel trailer/RV life! In the midst of repairing cheap shower faucet pipe leak today! Whew, finding the pex elbow fitting has been a nightmare! Finally found at local pro plumbing shop, he had to have two sent via UPS for me to pick up today. I hope! We leave tomorrow on a short trip. I'll be around... on WAY too many other forums, trucks, tractors, fishing, computer, you name it!794Views0likes4Comments
