For vehicles in such places, Steel is galvanized by covering it with a zinc coating only a few thousandths of an inch thick. The automobile industry now uses a zinc coating on body panels to prevent rust on vehicles. Check whether your vehicle has this covering on it. For other stainless steel appliances, I use Innoprotect B580. This forms a protective layer on the metal and prevents it from corrosion. Check whether the following link can help you Prevent Corrosion of MetalsRe: How much rust is normal?Hey I meant treatment of rust should be done at the earlier stage not waiting for it to spread and cause more damage.Re: How much rust is normal?Rust never stops. It is best to prevent metals from rusting. If at all you find a few signs of rust, it is better to clear the problem before it becomes more adverse. There is no limit to rust and so it is not advisable to avoid even an inch of rust.Re: SPRAY ON RUST REMOVERBut, cleaners that are acidic in nature may harm the metal. Right?Re: SPRAY ON RUST REMOVERHello Guys! Me too searching a solution for rust removal. I just read through the previous posts. Most of you said that we need to use rust removers and the ones you mentioned are acid based. Some of you said scrubbing off the rust will be good. But, I feel using acidic removers will harm the metal even more and scrubbing will only remove the rust but what if it rusts again? One of my friend suggested me to use Innosoft B570. He said it is a liquid cleaner that is organic and does not harm the metal. Has anyone of you tried this?
