If it’s during snowbird season you might find it hard to get a spot for any length of time. Many places book a year in advance during the winter months. State parks allow reservations 11 months out and federal 6 months out. Good luck. Probably February & March. That time frame puts you in the Daytona Speed weeks (Feb) and Bike week (Mar) events , along with the normal snow bird crowds throughout central Florida . State Parks - Blue Springs State Park in Orange city ( 30 min to Daytona). Wekiwa State Park in Apopka would put you more in the “ middle” of those two cities. However, state parks may limit you to two weeks. Good luck !Re: Boarder CrossingInteresting reading the borders are “closed” with so many Canadian snow birds here in central Fl.Re: Towing with F150 Poweboost10 Mpg while towing is normal & average !Re: Have to wonder how this will effect the EV aficionadosWhat energy sources are used to make these computer products we are all typing on ?Re: 2016 Eco boostI would agree with the up to 7000 lbs, but not the 9000 lbs. Does the Tow Package include the additional payload CCC ?Re: How many miles a day can we go?Considering the poster posted in the Class C section, I would assume the question is in regards to hours / miles while operating that specific veh ! Rule of thumb would be 50 miles per hour, with all the reasons already mentioned ! 500 miles is doable, I prefer about 350 .......and then a nice drink !Re: Question for Class C ownersAs stated in the other posts check the tire pressure and air ride system if equipped ! Besides checking those two things , I’ve done nothing ( upgrades) to our C in the first 20 months. I can drink my coffee and cruise down the Interstates with no issues ! It is a big truck, and after eight hours of driving I’m ready to call it a day, but I consider it a comfortable vehicle for what it is !Re: BEST FL Keys RV resort suggestionsJoeH - 4150 / night ?? Is that for $ 150 a night ?Re: Fuel stops of Class "A" 37' with a 15' toad Fla I75 NB Sam Spade wrote: Steeljag wrote: In Ocala at I75 and SR 40 there are two larger stations. Loves / Pilot / Flying J ? Not sure but two of those ! Close but no cigar. There are "truck stop" size stations both north and south of Ocala but nothing for really big rigs at SR 40. South of Ocala at MM 341, the Pilot is cramped and NOT a good place to stop with a MH. the Race Trac on the east side should be OK. North of Ocala at MM 358 are 3 large stations. Two Pilots on the east side of 75 are always busy and somewhat hard to navigate. The Loves on the west side is a better bet. You are correct ! I travel SR 40 but forgot about the bypass we take to I75 . It is east highway 326 & I 75 where the stations are located ! Sorry for the confusion!Re: Fuel stops of Class "A" 37' with a 15' toad Fla I75 NBIn Ocala at I75 and SR 40 there are two larger stations. Loves / Pilot / Flying J ? Not sure but two of those !
