Haven't been there since 2005 but spent the summer and went anywhere that we wanted. If it is still available get The Alaska Tour Saver book, it around $100 and it's a 2 for 1 deal. We took advantage of it and it really enticed us to do much more touristy things than we may have at twice the price. Saved the price of the book on the first 2 attractions. Take your time and have fun, whats and extra 200 miles to see something that you may never get back to. when we were there in 2005 we saw the MT 4 out of 7 days that we were in the park. Those days were crystal clear, the day we did the Wonder lake trip couldn't have been better. I have never gotten glasses in Mexico. I have gotten the last four pair of prescription glasses from Zenni Optical.com. We went up to Ft Worth from the RGV last weekend. We weren't up as far as 287 where the big project is so cant comment on that area. On Sunday we encountered a holdup north of Salado where long term construction has been going on. The lighted sign said Salado 8 miles 26 minutes but all traffic had to exit to frontage rd, about 1 hr delay. It looked like they were setting up a new traffic pattern. Get a Tour Saver book for $100 and book the cruises in it. The book gets you 2 for 1 on what ever is in there, you will get your money back on the first cruise you take.
