I'm a little claustrophobic, but i can deal with the tunnels if I have to.Re: VA beachThank you that's exactly the type of info i was looking for. I had looked at 17 on the map, but you can never get better then local info.Re: VA beach janstey58 wrote: Be prepared for the continuous fly byes of Naval Jets from the nearby base, holy cow are they loud!! I never found them to be that bad, we used to camp there with our popup. But this will be our first time coming in from 95. My brother has been in Manassas for a few years and has already said I need to stop and visit.VA beachThe middle of Aug. we will be towing our 30ft TT to VA beach from NH. Spending a few nights in Manassas VA. then heading to First Landing state park in VA. beach on Sunday afternoon. What would be my best route of travel from I95, or even from I66? As I know that 64 gets pretty bad on the weekends.Re: Is this even possible? December in New England? There are a few campgrounds in this area that are open all year, some even have heated water line. The problem is that most are open for snowmobilers, so they don't plow their roads. I know Meredith woods has heated waterlines. There is a place in Weare NH. called friendly beaver that I be leave is open all year, and plowed. Normandy farms around Boston is open until the end of Nov. There used to be Keyser pond in Henniker NH. I hope this helps.Re: First post, first TT, first of many stupid questions.I agree with the others about tire pressure, but you stated that it started after being cut off, I was looking at the exact trailer for us and would have towed it with an f150 I'm wondering if your trailer brakes were not set properly as that would have caused the trailer to push the tow vech. all over the road until you let off the brakes and gave just a bit off throttle to pull it out straight. and they comments about your hitch and sway control not being enough is true. i got 1200# bars and dual cams for our north trail 26rlss.Re: new camperThank you for the advice. I had a friend from work that just sold his travel trailer and gave me his reese straightline hitch complete with a set of 1200 and 1000# bars. I'm thinking that I'll to take him and his wife out for diner, as he wouldn't take any money from me. Now We can't wait for spring to bring her home and take her out.Re: new camperFinally pulled the trigger today' We went with the north Trail 26LRSS No my next question is what to go with for a hitch, our old Catalina has just a wdh with a friction sway bar and 800lb bars. The north Trail has a ship weight of 6030 and a GVWR of 8600 now I know that I'll probably Never get there as We have never hauled with more then 10 gallons of water in the tanks. Im thinking I should go with a 1200# bar just in case, i ever put much of anything in the truck bed. Thinking about the reese dual cam, or the equalizer 4 point, any recommendations? Towing with a F150 ecoboost hd with 9600 lb tow package.Re: new camperthank you for the advice, after comparing the three, we are leaning towards the North Trail local family owned dealer. love the layout, would have preferred an enclosed shower but there's always compromises' and i can deal with a shower curtain.Re: new camperThank you for your help. We do spend most of our time outside the layout is more for those bad weather days. That's we are staying away from the large dealers walked into one and said we were just looking at what's out there and they call us every three days. My biggest concern concerns are about the general quality I've always liked the springdale line but haven't heard much good about Keystone lately. And the North Trail is a new brand to me.
