I did electrical work in the Navy in the past, so I should be able to swing that.Re: Coachman power cord holeThanks! Both great ideas. I am going to have to look inside when I get home to see if there is an access place. Honestly, it may be worth the $100 to convert it. This thing is annoying, but I love the trailer. What would the conversion entail? I am going to guess there is no plug inside that little hole and it is direct wired in.Coachman power cord holeWe recently traded in our cruiser viewfinder with a seperate power cord to a coachman catalina that has a powercord that stays attached and goes into a hole. The plug head of the power cord is supposed to stay out in the door crevice and the cord goes through the hole into a closed compartment. Well, when I pushed the cord in during our first trip out it pulled the plug head into the storage compartment and was a PITA to get out. We actually ended up bending the prongs trying. There does not appear to be a way to access the storage compartment, and there are hard plastic prongs at the head of the hole to the storage compartment that I believe are supposed to keep this from happening. But don't. Are we the only people that have this problem? It took almost 30 minutes to work it out. Any suggestions to preventing it?Adding a RefrigeratorWe just purchased a new TT that does not have an outside kitchen. For the most part we do not want one because it takes up a lot of our outside storage. However, I would like to add a small drink fridge to the storage area that would have been the outside kitchen if we had one. Does anyone know where I could buy such a fridge? If I buy just a small cheapo fridge not meant for a TT is that going to cause a problem? I don't want to spend a ton, but I would like to be able to store drinks and small snacks outside so my kids are not constantly running in and out. Plus cut down on the ice we purchase.Re: Camping hacksWe make the cinnamin rolls in pie makers. The kids love them. Only cook them in the fire for one minute on each side though. Then let sit for a bout 5 minutes.Re: Trading / SellingI'm not really sure. If they normally don't carry that model is that an option? The dealership that gave us the high trade in value for our 2012 said he was going to call and see if he could. However he said it could be a 6-10 week wait. My husband would like to complete the purchase of the new trailer in the next few weeks. I am waiting on two dealerships to call me back right now.Trading / SellingI am looking for some tips on trading in or selling our travel trailer. We are wanting to trade in our first travel trailer and upgrade to something bigger with a bunkhouse for our kids. We have found the unit we want and are very firm on the exact model we want to buy. The problem is I am not finding many dealerships near me that have it. We could drive to the midwest again like we did with our first one, but then I feel that we would not get as good of a trade in value as where we live in the Northeast (plus the price of gas, etc). Right now we own a 2012 Cruiser Viewfinder 24-sd in excellent condition. We we were offered $19,200 as a trade for our 2012 this past weekend, but the guy doesn't have any units that we liked at the time. I am pretty sure I won't get anything close to this if we buy in Ohio or Michigan. We want to buy a 2014 Coachman Catalina 303FQB. I have considererd looking into consignment or private sale, but have never done anything like that. Is it really difficult to sell on your own? How much of a "cut" does a dealer usually take for consignment? (this is my first post on here so let me know if I did anything wrong)
