We are first timers headed for texas, we were supposed to be there this past sunday but the tow rig decided it wasn't ready and we have to delay for another week while we wait on an upper intake manifold.Re: What's your house on wheels? TT, 5'er, or MH?we went TT keystone hornet 31rldsRe: Are You Counting Yet?October 6 for us then Texas bound wooooooooRe: Rving & Motorcyleswifey and i bring our bikes everywhere. we are in missouri right now and will be headed to tx in october.Re: Newbie from Indiana - Maiden Voyagegeneral rule of thumb is buy the tow vehicle for the next TT. Any of the newer diesels from any of the big 3 were good and had their fair share of isssues. if you can, get a 7.3 turbo ford or a 6.6 duramax chevy. reason leaving out the dodge is both of the ones i had were full of transmission woes. prepare for more getting dirty upkeep, they require more with fuel filters, up to 3 gallons of motor oil, antigel if you are in a cold climate(stay away from veg based diesel if you can and stick to #2. bio clouds at 40* and nothing sucks much more than having the fuel filter wax and truck plays the "i don't wanna go" bs on you). but for durability and all out oomph, they are superb torque monster pulling rigs.Re: Grill Optionsim throwing in my hat....weber q100. have had it since they came out. only issue i had was the propane cylinders, bought the conversion to fit on the 30# tanks and its the best little one i have owned. literally just purchased the #6549 cart and #6550 cover for it. yes it is a bit small, but good for 2 people or more depending on what you need on the grill and how much you need to cook on the campstove.Re: water heater relief valve?our hornet did the same thing and we tried everything except check the temp. started the heater up and kept checking the temp and it kept climbing and i ran and shut it off at 208*. the tstat and eco were bad or were not making a good enough connection to shut it down and the pressure valve was doing its job. got a new eco and tstat and have had zero issues since. my vote would be to check the temp while its running, it shouldnt get over about 160-180ishRe: Best flushing system for holding tanks-im cool with it, hope this is what OP needs, camp on mate!Re: Best flushing system for holding tanks-that one mounts in the tank, not after the valve. the flush king mounts outside. forgive me if im misunderstanding
