In parking lots, we're narrow enough to fit in most regular parking spaces, but will usually opt for selecting an out of the way area of the lot where we can cross-park in two spots so as not to leave our a$$ hanging out or inconvenience others.Re: sleeping quarters on a class bEverybody's right in that there's no one right answer. We have a Pleasureway Sprinter and vary our bedding needs with the weather, but my huz likes being zipped into a sleeping bag on his twin side where I, the claustrophic one, sometimes use the unzipped bag as a comforter or eschew it altogether for light-weight thermal blankets. We're able to get all those variations plus four pillows in the cabinet over our sofa. We make and unmake it daily if we move locations or have to spend more time inside than usual due to cooler weather. Friends with the same rig who are shorter people do not use the twin configuration but sleep sideways on the sofa part only. They leave the bedding on when travelling, so in effect don't take up storage space with bedding.Re: Sprinter 2500 Fastpaddler wrote: In the US seems to be different charges for over-size. Indeed it is. The one that perturbs me is the extra charge for height when you're on a boat sharing the same single plane interior space as the cars. It's not like you're taking up vertical space that otherwise they could fit two cars in to.Re: Does a 22 foot B+ fit in a regular parking spot? vacuumbed wrote: Thanks for writing me everyone, sounds like the B+ is very doable and easy to drive. Believe it or not, I can take my B van through certain fast food drive thru's. I think this is one option I will lose with a B+. True on all counts. Like others, we usually park on the emptier perimeter and take up two spaces well-situated for backing up when we leave, not so much for width but to angle across them to tuck in more length. And yes, most drive-thrus are out. But hey, more exercise!Re: Are there any class B's that do not look like RVs? Naio wrote: Interesting to see what folks feel catches the eye and what does not. As a new RVer, awnings in their shells do not really say 'RV' to me... Keep looking--they will. We're compulsive about noticing every other Sprinter van we pass--there are a lot of these vans in use as courtesy vehicles or carpool vans, and they sometimes have roof air cons but they'll never have awnings. Still, I get what you mean. I'm on the verge of taking the decals off of ours. Or to put it another way, I'm for it but my husband is against it. I too am not crazy about the overt 'rv' look and prefer the plain automotive look. With the awning it will give itself away to the cognoscenti, but to many it will at best have an air of mystery--is it, or isn't it. Too, our Sprinter is made by Pleasure-Way. Friends recently had a hoot over the name, and wondered if we take it to nudist parks. Right there--best reason yet to take off the decals. :)Re: Seattle RV Show kereams wrote: Yes, vendors were a dissapointment too. More non-RV related vendors than RV specific vendors. Same people you see pushing Ginsu knives and Shamwows at the fair. Sad. My husband has been lamenting for a week now that we didn't have time to go down to Seattle (we're in Bellingham) for the show. So I just read him your paragraph above. He's officially over it. :)Re: Sprinter 2500Fastpaddler and Escargot, our 06/07 TS was listed at 21'll" on the Dealer tags but measured out, per an official with the Washington State Ferry System who used one of those rolling tape things, at 21'4". Being under 22'0' was an important fact that secured us a refund of the 'extra length' upcharge for vehicles over 22' that had doubled our fare. But when we were buying we saw many of them listed at the length Escargot quotes. We were wondering if some had different bumpers as the different lengths--and we saw numbers up to 24'--made no sense.Re: Perfect BBQ for a BStan, yes, bigger than some things--at least wider--but relatively thin for under-the-bed storage and it replaced what for us was otherwise two necessities of life. And no charcoal required. I certainly get other people's commitment to that style of cooking, but our rig just doesn't have enough storage space to have more than one option.Re: 2015 Coachhouse 24 B van Sprinter rvThanks! I hope they're having an amazing time.Re: 2015 Coachhouse 24 B van Sprinter rv Davydd wrote: Nah, I'm satisfied with my new Advanced RV. :) Here is a video presentation by Advanced RV of our B. Davydd--that's gorgeous. What year? I'm envious of a lot of things about your van, and especially what appears to be a phantom-type screen door. We don't have one on our '14 Pleasureway, and are anticipating travelling with cats in the very near future. If we could find a way to get one of those, we'd be all over it. I saw them in the '15 Plesureways, but they have a different doorjamb in order to make it work. Not sure if I could do it on my '14 or not. If it's not too much trouble, could you post pix of how yours latches?
