One of the best purchases I've ever made. Factory tour was really impressive and they treated us well. Dealership took care of business in a very professional manner. Had a problem with a blown thermal fuse in the fridge on day 3 of trip. They helped me troubleshoot over the phone and I had a part in hand that afternoon from a local rv dealer and we were back in business. Build quality on this unit is superb and tows effortlessly with out sway or WD hitch behind my Ram 3500. Fighting sw winds all the way back to Boise we averaged 9.5 mpg cruising 65-70 mph for 2300 mi. I changed the tongue jack to a side mount Fulton fold up to facilitate use of my truck tail gait while still connected to the unit. Other wise, this is a thing of beauty.....looking forward to a lot of years of dependable use. Will take it and the Indian down south for a couple of months this winter snowbirding. I don't understand why you wouldn't do both?Re: ATC 28 front bedroomNice write up HVAC.....thanx for your inputs. We are looking forward to getting our ATC in about 3 weeks. How does it tow and what do you tow with.Re: ATC 28 front bedroom dannko wrote: holdinsteady wrote: I will be taking delivery of a new ATC 28' front bedroom toy hauler at the end of Sept. We are driving to Mich to pick it up and will be road tripping our way back to Boise Idaho. No local dealers so we opted to make a road trip of it rather than pay $3k plus for delivery charges. First time I have ever spent this much $ sight unseen for a unit. We are buying based solely on internet research an would welcome any comments/impressions of current owners. What I was able to find on the net was very encouraging concerning build quality and the options offered were just what we were looking for. We will haul a XP1000 Razor or a Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle on road trips. Tow with a 2015 Ram 3500 DRW. Just my wife and I and the dog so I think there will be ample space. Would like to hear from current owners of ATC units....likes/dislikes, etc. Thanx, Jerry did you buy from a dealer and then you are picking up? Or factory direct? I spoke with the factory and they prefer you buy from a dealer.....they are not staffed for prep/delivery to the public. The dealer in Schoolcraft Michigan is only and hour drive from the factory. They are not charging any delivery or set up fees. So we are taking delivery at the dealership in Schoolcraft, Mi. Not sure about your truck needing wd and sway control. My truck weighs 9200 lbs dry with a tow capacity of 30K lbs. With the trailer loaded properly 10% plus tongue wt and my truck I think I will be ok without wd and swaycontrol. But I will update after getting trailer if needed.Re: ATC 28 front bedroom Ctimrun wrote: holdinsteady wrote: Ctimrun, I see you are from Idaho, whereabouts? I live in Emmett just nw of boise. I'm actually over in east Idaho near the Montana border. We are usually up in that area at least 1-2 times a year on our way to Forsyth or Big timber ,Mt for the Quigley shoots. Black powder cartridge stuff.Re: ATC 28 front bedroomI did that a few years ago......flew into Indianapolis, In. Dealership picked me up at the airport and drove 85 miles back to store. Signed the papers and I drove off that afternoon on my new 2008 Yamaha Raider. Took 3 days to get back to Idaho...... but it was a great ride! The Chief is a 2016.......most comfortable cruiser I have ever rode.
