All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Cassita travel trailer general questionsI actually own a 2009 17' Casita SD. Best little trailer for the money. They hold there value really well. But, I don't think I'd want to stay in mine in the 10's. I've stayed in mine down in the mid 20's with not much problem. you've got to remember that all the tanks are exposed to the elements. Just have to use alot of RV anti-freeze to keep them from freezing. I tow mine with a 3.5 Liter V-6 Tacoma.Re: Battery Disconnect ConfusionI use to own a Winnebago Vista that did the same thing your dealing with. Went through the whole rig looking for something that was causing a current draw Never did find one. so I just installed a knife blade type disconnect on the chassis battery terminal. That solved my problemRe: Mini Split AC - Condenser unit in fifth wheel basement??Every thought about having a shelf built and welded to the 5th wheel mount hitch to mount it on. That it would outside with plenty of air flow around it. Just an idea.Re: Mach 15 a/c not cooling wellI'm living stationary in a 40 foot 5th wheel here in southern Nevada, summer temps in the 100's and higher. since I don't move this unit I installed a real small evap cooler to maintain the temps in the main living area during the day. Because the larger 15 BTU A/C just doesn'0t cut it. Full sun during day, thermo pane windows help alot. so far it's maintained temps in the high 70's & low 80's durung the day time. At night I run my 13.5 up in the bed room, which will freeze you out. Now I know this setup will not work if your traveling around. There is also some people on the forums that have installed 12 BTU mini-spilt units to there units rigs.Re: Are all RV's noisy and rattle? These things aren't Cadillacs.Re: Selecting a roof coating brandFrom reading the information on the Heng's can that I ordered, it don't even mention appling it over rubber roofs. So I chose nut to use there product. The RV tech the I called requmented a product one can buy from Home Depot. He said he's been using it for years with no problems. If your thinking about using a vinyl base product, don't. The stuff on my roof cracked all over and had to be scraped off by hand. and it took them days (2 hours a day) to get it all off. I'm thinking he refured to as being silicone base product that whole better on top of rubber roofs.Re: Las Vegas RV ParksYou sure you want to come to Las Wages in august? I hope you like 114 degree temps in the shade. Kind of like standing over a camp fire.Re: Favorite place to camp to avoid the heat in middle USAI'm thinking thee referring to "Fun Valley RV Park" But don't go there if your single, that won't let you in.Re: Are campgrounds more crowded or is it just me?This year is going to be come a nightmare for Rver's because of the 30% increase in Rv sales. There not biuilding any new RV parks folks. Next year will be a hole lot because all those that bought RV this year will on the market for sale. Might be a good time to pick up good deal.Re: How difficult is it to change slide sealFirst of all take picture s of how the deal are installed on your class a, then order the right seals, like you ones your about to pull off.
