Last year in Hilton Head Island at 98 degrees I had a bad odor, after a good rinsing & a double hit of chemicals problem solved. Not lilacs & roses, but no odor.Re: odor outsideIf your toilet is flushing properly and not "glub glubing" then most likely your air vent is NOT plugged although that could be the source of your odor. I would thoroughly flush & clean rinse the black tank using as much water pressure as possible. Keep flushing until the water comes out clear. Close your valve add about 10 gallons of water & triple dose with toilet chemical. Unfortunately the trailer being stationary won't allow much movement of the water in the tank, but the fumes from the chemical should work their magic. Let it sit for a few hours & begin flushing to check if the odor still exists. If not your tank just needed a good cleaning, if you now smell the chemicals I would think that the air vent is the culprit. Also put chemical in the gray tank as they have a tendency to create a sewer smell. I hope that helps!Re: Are CB radios still used? pa traveler wrote: Think about it ,your stuck in traffic for a long time.Theres the CB sitting there,do you want to find out whats happening? Better yet if your monitoring avoid it all together. What exit you can bypass the situation.Weather alert on certain models. I installed mine because when we are getting ready for a trip (living in Florida) we always have the a/c on while packing. A necessity for me at least. Even when plugged in for a little bit, it would tip the circuit. Now we can pack/unpack in comfort. I installed one for the same reason, packing & unpacking in the Florida heat is not fun. Now I just plug it in before a trip, turn on the refrigerator and air conditioning, give it an hour & ready to pack (or unpack).Re: Which one: 2010 F250 6.4L or 2011 6.7L Dadoffourgirls wrote: JKQ wrote: Recently upgraded my TV from a 2011 Duramax to a 2013 6.7 Power Stroke. As far as towing the GMC had a lot of power & was very reliable, I changed to a ford because it had some features I really liked. I'll report back after this 2500 mile trip we're about to take. What features that you liked were on the Ford that were not on the GM? My new ford has an access step ladder that pulls out of the tailgate along with a folding handle on the tailgate to hold onto when climbing into the bed. Recent hip replacement surgery and must be very careful when climbing! The cab itself has a lot more storage & locking compartments. The crew cab seats lift up with lockable storage under both rear seats & the center console is lockable. The 6.7 diesel is quite & sounds more like a sewing machin3 than a tank. I have no complaints regarding the GMC duramax however, so far I like the ford better & that could very well be because it bran new.Re: Which one: 2010 F250 6.4L or 2011 6.7LRecently upgraded my TV from a 2011 Duramax to a 2013 6.7 Power Stroke.
