The regulators were onto their price gouging ways on holday weekends and now they just up the price for a longer period before the holiday weekend now. Watch and see.Re: Am I crazy to be considering Goodyear Duratracs?Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2. Thank me later. Best A/T tires I've ever owned.Re: Awning Draining CincyGus wrote: I don't get it but call me Caveman Gus from now on (look for a name change coming soon ;-) Nothing against anyone that has an electric awning. I've never owned one so I don't know the in's and out's of them, what they can or can't do or if they are better or worse than a manual awning. I can tell you that my manual awning takes me all of about 4-5 minutes to set up by myself, without breaking a sweat and gives me maximum adjustability. I love a manual, especially coming from a popup where I had to fight with poles and guidelines and all that. Seems to me it might be one of those things that wasn't really necessary to change but in our electric, remote control, unmanned spacecraft world, progress is measured differently by different people. Enjoy what you've got or sell it or give it away to someone and get something you like. Happy Camping. Gus, People don't always have the choice of which awning comes on the RV that they buy off of the lot. So when you jump in your horse and carriage to pull your covered wagon down the trail to the campground, enjoy your trip. Just make sure to scoop up the mess along your way.LOLRe: Awning DrainingOh I forgot. Mine has the auto dump feature as well. Just leave the lock knobs loose and it will dump if it gets to heavy from the rain not draining off.Re: Awning DrainingI have a FE 246RKS and you can tilt it to drain off the rain. Just pull down on the end you want the water draining to and tighten the knob on the rail to lock it down. It really needs to be put back in under heavy rain and wind though. Just unlock the knob and it will pop back up and then you can retract it. If this seems too hard to comprehend just go to YOUTUBE and type in search field power RV awning. You will be able to watch how to use it. RichRe: Dually Real World drivingI drive a 2007 Ram 3500 2wd dually every day at work. Personally I have a 2012 F150 4X4 Scab. I can drive the dually anywhewre I want as I'm pretty much on call 24/7. As soon as I get home the dually gets parked. If I do decide to drive it I don't really mind it too much. Just remember to back into a parking spot as much as you can. Getting out is much easier. We have only manual 6 speeds at work and I would assume that an auto would more pleasureable to drive. JM2CRe: Tonneau coverThe holes are not drilled in the bed anymore. The haven't been for close to 20 + years now. The snaps slide up and down the rails that clamp to the top of the bed rails.Re: Time to Re-tireWe have 4 Dodge dually's ranging from 2005-2008 at work and we have tried a few different brandsnof tires and so far the best 2 we came up with is the Toyo Open country HT and the BF Goodrich Commercial T/A. E rated of course. We almost always get 60k plus out of both brands. The T/A's seem to ride better though.Re: Tonneau coverExtang Classic. For a snap type it is one of the best going. I went with a BakFlip Fibermax. Best move I ever made. I don't care for a camper shell or a hard cover so this is the perfect mix of both worlds. It does have a couple minor drips in heavy downpours but it does a good job of keeping stuff secure after locking the tailgate on my 2012 F150.Re: Duramax bites the dust - Blown head gasket @ 102K miles fj12ryder wrote: jerem0621 wrote: OP... This is terrible! I am an advocate for Gassers simplicity, but realistically, gassers fail as well. I hope everything gets buttoned up and fixed right. I'm not sure if there are any upgrades that you can do while the heads are off. I don't hear too much about Duramax's needing bulletproofed much. Jeremiah "Gassers simplicity?" Yeah that's kinda funny? Diesels are way less complicated than modern gas engines now dsys. Even with all the fuel management systems on all modern diesels they are still simple. You just gotta get under the skin just like the gas engine.
