Be ready to drop some cash into tie downs etc, but you'll have a great experience with that rig. You've already got the wheels/tires and brakes for the larger load. Opposite of yourself, we are getting out of our TC and purchased a class A pusher on Sunday night. 3 growing kids across the back seat of my truck did not lend itself well to longer adventures. Edit; Not completely sure of the year range, but the 6.0L diesel in the fords had many issues. I believe that the newer 6.7L had taken care of those problems, but if your potential rig has the 6.0L, research "bulletproofing" it and whether it had been done yet.Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereHere's a picture of our camping spot in Truckhaven Hills (accross the highway from the Salton Sea) in California over our New Years 4x4 Club run. Hope you enjoy! Jon, Vickie, Naomi, and Dustin.... The Mudmovers! HAPPY NEW YEAR!Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereJust got back from a fantastic vacation.... the camper/truck handled absolutely wonderful with the addition of the super springs and rancho 9000xl's..... way different than the ride home from Idaho, where we picked up the camper a couple months ago. My brother in law and his wife drove our scout up and met us in Big Bear, and we did some fun wheeling while we were there. Here's a picture of our rig(s) all together with Big Bear Lake as the backdrop... this picture was taken on Stanfield Cutoff road, heading south towards the town of Big Bear, CA. Hope you enjoy! JonRe: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereHeres a few more shots of our camper, on the way home from picking it up. Hope you enjoy! Crossing into Nevada from Idaho.... we were running later than I expected, but that gave us this BEAUTFIUL sunset, and a cool, unimpeded, backdrop for a cool TC picture! This was our VERY FIRST camp spot, in our new truck camper.. Thanks Wal-Mart, Winnemmucca, NV! this is our better camp spot, in Meeks Bay, Lake Tahoe, CA.... Crossing into Mono County, on our way down to 395 from Lake Tahoe, Via the 89 and another scenic viewpoint on the way home.... this is the viewpoint over Mono lake, as you decend to the 395. the rest after that was a blur.... we had a great trip though, and can't wait to get back out in our TC again! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
