If some of the extra weight comes off his mobility will improve and then who knows how he might be.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Dixie flyer...I am going to say what no on else is saying , but I am sure some are thinking. It is OKAY to let Old Fella go to heaven with a little help from a friend. Many times it is the most humane thing we can do for something we love. This old dog will live in many hearts forever. I think the hope is for him to go to the rally so many of his friends can meet him. Whether in flesh or pictures, he will be there. God bless youRe: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}I am so pleased to see some folks have taken up the suggestion and are clicking everyday to help feed animals in shelters. As for the invite to Branson...How nice . Unfortunately my special person is recovering from a valve job, which makes us pretty much home bound for a while. If he can get 3 months of no prescription changes we can once again get him Travel Health Insurance so we can leave the security of Canada and our Health Care System. I will continue to follow the story of that special "Old Fella" .Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}What a great story...Now all you animal lovers may I suggest a web site you can click on daily and the sponsors supply dog food for strays in shelters. I get a reminder in my email box every day and click on the link . Only takes a second and one gets a sense of helping a poor critter somewhere. www.theanimalrescuesite.com... The information is all there...Re: Winterizing & Summerizing for SnowbirdsWE have been travelling for the winter the past 12 years and this works for us... Put the water heater on vacation...shut off the water at the main valve (for us that is the meter)..3 lamps on timers to turn on and off regularly. Unplug the TV. computer , DVD player ...anything that is not needed to keep the houshold running. We hire a young fellow to shovel, collect mail & unwanted flyers etc. All the utilities are on automatic debit at the bank. So far this has worked. Good luck and happy trails
