And at 20 amps That's a heavy chomper of battery power.. a Good Compressor unit needs less than 1/4 that kind of power. Sorry there are no available 12 volt compressor friges that only draw 5 amps!!! My conversion only draws 14 amps when both compressors are running. They rarely run at the same time. They are separately controlled for the refer and freezer. We switched from Consumer Cellular due to connection issues. We have a ATT cell site in front of our house and could not get anyone to fix it. Visable uses Verizon and we get great sevice from them. Switching was easy since our iPhone 12's will support esim. Got the $15 per month for a year for both phones. Unlimited everything! :B!! Housted899Views0likes0CommentsRe: Solar power
Solar ratings are based on being at the equator at high noon on June 30 on a clear day with the panels facing at the sun. In other words you will probably not see the full wattage anywhere in North America. Its not magic or mysterious just remember more solar is better than less. The same goes for battery reserve. I have 1000 watts of solar and a 400 Amp HR lithium battery and it serves us very well. I do not try to run the A/C off the inverter. YMMV Housted284Views0likes0CommentsRe: dual transfer switch
I converted my 30 amp coach to 50 amp when I installed the cord reel. I have 2 auto transfer switches. A 50 amp for the shore power and all else that feeds the breaker panel. A 30 amp (existing)to transfer from gen set to inverter and feeds the 50 amp switch. Totally automatic transfer!!:B One thing to be aware of is the fact that you will have 2 delays stacked.
