I put my 2800lb sand rail in/out all the time. Granted, only 1 set of tires is on the ramp at any 1 time. Thanks. My rzr is 149 inches long. So only one set of tires at a time for me as well.Re: Ramp strengthTomatoes tamatoes. And joe, what model of toy hauler do you have? Thanks.Ramp strengthI have a 2008 mega-lite by Extreme 25st. I just got my new xp4 turbo s rzr and it’s just over 2000lbs with fuel and some tools. Can’t seem to find anything of the ramp captivity or cargo capacity. Bought it used a year or so ago. I have hauled similar weight inside with full water tanks, fuel, etc for a 5+ hr trip without any issues. When I test fit the rzr in yesterday the rear ramp seemed to flex a lot!! Was thinking I could add a couple ramps to help out when loading and unloading if needed. Hope someone here might know the captivity of the rear ramp door. ThanksPaint jobSo I was hoping a couple people here have painted the RV or know of someone who has. My toy hauler is a 2008 mega-lite by extreme,26’ and is aluminum. I’m wanting to paint the whole trailer. I have painted a couple old trucks in the past and they turned out pretty good. The current paint is not rusting or flaking. Not looking for a million dollar paint job, just want to tackle a project and make it how I want since I plan to keep it for some time. at the same time I plan on pulling all the windows, doors and hatches and re-sealing them. I have a large paint booth to use and will be using a gravity feed paint gun. Any tips as far as prep work or anything important? I’m just painting it white with a red stripe. Thanks in advance.Re: New battery setup Dirtclods wrote: Just a bit more info: https://www.rvtechlibrary.com/battery/bat_convert.php Thanks bud. Good info.Re: New battery setup theoldwizard1 wrote: Shaft0201 wrote: After camping this last weekend and getting a couple dead batteries I’m now on the market for the following... two 12v batteries for doing a fair amount of boondocking. Finding TRUE deep cycle 12V batteries is very difficult ! The "marine" dual purpose batteries are NOT true deep discharge batteries. A golf cart dealership might have GC12 batteries, but they are expensive. Solar/wind/off grid stores would also carry true deep discharge batteries. Again, $$$ ! This is why you have been advised to use two 6V GC2 batteries. Well the 6v setup is not out of the question, just would prefer 12v’s. If the search becomes next to impossible then I will go the 6v route. Thanks for the heads upRe: New battery setup time2roll wrote: Shaft0201 wrote: I will call them for sure. Thank you DO NOT let Randy talk you into a WFCO. Spoke to him a little earlier and told me to get the “Progressive dynamics MBA 4655L”. Does that sound about right? He says that one is a little better than the boondocker oneRe: New battery setup Dirtclods wrote: I'll just add my 2 cents if your planning on running your heater you'll be better off running two six volts it's not hard at all to hook them up. I had two deep cycles 12 volts for years I so glad I made the switch it really makes a huge difference. Also if your lights are not already LED switch them out this to well save you batteries. I've never had an issue with Costco brand. 6v was a thought at first but I’m pretty stuck on getting two GOOD 12v batteries. As stated I have switched every interior light to LED, But thanks for suggesting. Will also be adding a voltminder and will order the better converter this weekend that has a smart charger setup.Re: New battery setup Bedlam wrote: I'm not going to go into a brand war, but Deka and Interstate have proven reliable for me in the past. You want deep cycle batteries, so look for the heaviest weight battery that will fit the physical dimension confines. This will get you the thickest charge plates and do better at deep cycle use. Thanks. Actually personal experience like you described is better than a “brand war”. I hear COSTCO has some decent prices on good 12v batteries. Thank you for the input.Re: New battery setupDo you guy reccomend a couple decent 12v batteries that I should look into? Also any reccomendations on a good volt-minder with a built in alarm? For batteries we have a oostco and normal large chain suppliers here in the Portland Oregon area. Thanks again for all the suggestions.
