I would recommend them to anyone. PatRe: Durango RV Resort in Red Bluff CAWe have stayed there a few times as an overnight stop. The park is really clean with good amenities. There is a nice restaurant within walking distance. We plan to stay there in June on our way up to Oregon and on the way back. They usually have sites available. You can here the freeway but if its in the summer months you will have your air on anyway so not an issue for an overnight stop for us. The river is right next to the park which is pretty. I didn't see any homeless last year when we were there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. PatRe: Sedona/ CottonwoodI would recommend Dead Horse State Park. We were just there and extended our visit by four days. We were lucky that we were able to make further arrangements as the park was full every night. Beautiful place though. It is only 30 minutes from Sedona and I agree that the traffic is terrible in Sedona proper. Cottonwood is a nice town, old town has shopping and wine bars, Jerome is close, Montezuma Castle, Montezuma Well, and Tootsigoot are close and one admission price to one gets you into all three. Interesting places. Lots of hiking in the area as well as mountain biking trails. We will return there in the future. PatRe: Thetford Style Plus. Valve leak problem?Just replaced our aqua plus after five years. The water valve started to leak so I bought a new one and installed it. However, the pedal snaps on and I couldn't get the pedal to stay snapped on so I ended up buying a new toilet. Camping World had them on sale. I bought the same toilet so I wouldn't have to change any water lines and the wife liked the toilet. It is an easy replacement.Suggestions for Yosemite Valley RV campingIts been a long time since I have been to Yosemite and would like to camp with my 32 fifth wheel in the valley early next summer. Does anyone have any good suggestions on which campground and specific spots that would be good to reserve.Re: Tool For Removing Those One Way Screws ?They work pretty good. You need to apply a great deal of force to get them out. If the screw is corroded, the tool doesn't work that great. You will have to use other means to get them out. They use them a lot in school bathrooms.Re: Screen attached to awning.I am not aware of any that will role up with your awning. I just purchased shade screens for my awnings and there is a 1 foot section that is attached to the awning tube and the rest of the shade screen zips on at the length you order. The 1 foot section rolls up with your awning. I ordered mine from Shade Pro. You can order and they will ship it to you. I am pretty happy with the shade screens. PatRe: Adco cover turning into powderI am on my third Adco cover. The first one was the grey one and it lasted three months short of the 2 year warranty. They sent me another one but it did not come with a warranty. Apparently you only get to exchange it once. It lasted one and one half years. I am now using the designer one. It seems a little better but it is only six months old. I live on the California coast and get some sun depending on the weather. But it only gets up to 70 here and it still didn't last two years. I think its better that the cover deteriorates then the trailer in my opinion.Re: springdale 5th wheelsWe had a 2006 Springdale 249rls and we went from a camper to the short 5th wheel so we could tow our boat behind it. I had a hitch custom fabricated and welded and bolted to the frame. It preformed well and I did not have any issues. Another waterski buddy still has his Springdale and double tows with his trailer every summer. I would just make sure your brakes are working well on both vehicles. We enjoyed the roominess of the trailer and it served us well. It was not a high end model so there was some repairs and additions that I had to do but it did what I wanted it to do. I say go for it. PatRe: dry campingIt would depend if your converter is a three stage or a trickle charger. My old fifth wheel had a 2amp trickle charger and would take for ever to charge the batteries so I ran my sears charger straight off the generator. My new 5er has the three stage charger and works great with the trailer plugged into the generator. Figure out what kind you have and go from there.
