I’m curious about the built in inverter in the bed of the hybrid. How can a 30 amp travel trailer plug into it? It looks like it has the power to run the AC. That would be a boondockers dream setup. I hit the CAT scales and my estimate of being slightly over the GVWR was correct. I'm 180 lbs over but below the axle weights by a good margin. That's with a full tank of gas. In the bed of the truck is a generator, two folding bikes and spare fuel. Rear axle weight is 3880 (4100 lb limit) Front is 3400 (3900 limit) brings me to 7280(7100 limit) Trailer axle is 5560. I'm fine with those weights. That's even lighter than I had hoped on the rear axle so as far as I'm concerned it's a perfect setup.431Views0likes0CommentsRe: Temperature gun for brakes and bearings?

I might pick one up anyways. It might be a good way to see if your trailer brakes are working too hard on the downhills or not enough. Is anyone using a temperature laser gun to monitor brakes and bearings? I'll be hitting the Smokey Mountains in the spring towing a travel trailer. I thought it would be good information to have. What number values should I be looking for as a maximum? I'm an airline pilot and I constantly monitor brake temperature while taxiing. It seems really strange not to have that information available. I found this interesting thread in another forum. It's about the 2017 eco diesel RAM air suspension. A guy tested his to see when the air suspension would start throwing error messages.
