I try to give them to other readers, but in the colder months I read so many, and my friends are beginning to at they don't have time to read. Our Library , if you hand them to them, sells them in their second hand sales. My books are all new. I am the only reader and my books still look new when I am ready to have them depart. So, that kinda offends me. We donate our books to the local nursing home and the Veterans home. They're happy to have them.Re: Who Drives? The Man or the Woman?Love that older generation :R Since my husband has a bad back, I do a lot of the driving. But, we both love to drive our motorhome so sometimes there is some jockeying for the driver's seat when we head out somewhere :) We bought our first C class from an older couple that the man had decided he wasn't well enough to drive it anymore and he said his wife couldn't drive it. She was pretty angry about that. Rightly so! It meant the end of her traveling days. She was doubly mad when I said I was going to do the driving and her husband seemed fine with that. I get kind of offended when the older uncles act like I deserve extra credit for driving. Like it's some kind of Olympic event that only a man can do. Whew! Sorry for the rant. We try to ignore what other people think we should do and just figure out what works best for us.Re: Smell/odor in trailerI might be way off, but the people we bought our first RV from kept mothballs in it. One of the first things we did was remove them all. We owned it for over a year and it STILL smelled like mothballs when we sold it.Re: Dumb mistakesWhat is it about that power cord?!?! We must have drove 3 miles before we realized we were dragging it behind us. Also turned switch to tank fill instead of city water when we did NOT want our fresh tank full. Wondered what the neighbor was so excited about, running at us waving her arms, until we saw the water gushing out underneath our RV. We just try to look at these things as learning experiences:WRe: First time buyers... Will be needing help deciding RVI would suggest going to RVTRADER.COM and just searching for RVs in the $90k range. You might see one you hadn't considered before. Also, drive an A class before you rule them out. I was so nervous, but as our salesman pointed out, the A class was no wider than the widest point on our C class. The truck front end just gives the illusion that the C class was narrower. We found a 32ft DP that we love. We went a few years older, but it's better quality than the newer ones in our price range and better quality definitely ages better.Re: Need Some AdviceOne time before a trip the neighbor left us a gift bag of different munchies and a couple bottles of water. Also something I didn't think we would use until we got one was a journal that we could keep track of everyplace we had gone.Re: What are you reading?Roy & Lynne: "If your interested, my sister-in-law, slash librarian suggested I read When Books Went to War: The Stories that Helped us Win World War II." I just finished this book! Excellent!! I think I have told more people about this book than any other I've read in a long time. I just kept thinking "Who knew?" while I was reading it.Re: Class A versus Class C MotorhomeOne thing we did when we were shopping, we figured out our budget and just did a search for that price range. We were really surprised by what came up, models we had not even considered. It's how we found our 32ft DP. The other important thing is to drive every one that you can. Also, see what it looks like with the slide outs in and out. While you're sitting in the prospective RV, think about things you normally do and how that would work (cooking, washing dishes, watching tv......). Good luck!Re: What are you reading? thomasgunnar wrote: Right now it is World War Z. I seem to be on a zombie trend. Have you read The Girl With All The Gifts by M R Carey? I don't usually read books like this but it was really good. I did not see the last twist coming!Re: Keys! Really People? dwayneb236 wrote: Vinz Clortho Are you the gatekeeper?
