All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Making Foldable Beds more comfortable in Hybrid TrailersI have a new Shamrock 23ws, I previously had a Kodiak the Kodiak mattress was a 6 year torture test even 4 inches of memory foam couldn't cure LOL! The Shamrock has a heated mattress that has springs etc inside and is actually comfortable and is heated! If you are looking into a mattress for your camper and want just a "mattress" solution order one from Forest River, one thing you could do is go look at a new 23ws and lay on the bed and try it, might be worth looking into, Other than being too small of a camper the mattress was the only complaint I had about the Kodiak. If you got the mattress I think the heater controller is sold separate. If I would have known there was something I could have bought for the Kodiak (the Shamrock mattress folds so it would have worked as a replacement) I would have got one at least for my side of the camper!Re: Used HTT SuggestionsI think a Roo 19 (new) would be a perfect first camper, if they have a tow vehicle that can pull it, they would be set, I think if they got it new it would take the worry of some hidden problems out of the equation and just let them enjoy using the camper. I almost bought a 19 last year, they have a lot in there and you can start from scratch taking good care of it. If they can swing it i would have them at least check out a new roo or shamrock 19. They would be starting out with a LOT of nice comfort systems and it would be easy to unload if they didn't like it.Re: forest river quality?Contact Matt, Tell Him Bill who just bought a 23ws from him gave you the email, He is great to deal with. mmcdermott@wholesalervclub.comRe: Downsizing from TT to HybridWhen and if you do downsize, check out the Roo 19 it is a nice smaller hybrid with a lot of bells and whistles.Re: forest river quality?I just bought a Shamrock 23ws around 6 weeks ago, from Pgh area to Cincinatti to get it to save 3 grand. I am a retired Auto tech and am quite fussy about my campers, (I had a Kodiak hybrid before this one) I must say I am VERY impressed with my Shamrock, I am taking it out for the first trip this weekend, I have been "back yard camping/modding" in this since I bought it and am very pleased with how well it tows and with how it is made, Are you getting a new or used 21s? just wondered. Good luck!Re: Spare tire cover nut!Contact Sheri Dunlap at forest River sdunlap@forestriverinc.comRe: 2007 roo 23ss slide gasket repairI would try posting this question here http://www.forestriverforums.com for something like this, just a suggestionRe: 2015 Starcraft Travel Star Expandable 229TB- Tow Vehicle?I think the perfect set up for you folks would be the Durango and a Roo/Shamrock 233s, Do a search on cars.com, don't be afraid to drive a little ways to get a Durango, sometimes you can find a Dodge at a Chevy dealer that is just not moving and you can get a great deal, I got a "killer" deal on my Tahoe at a Jeep dealer 100 miles away from me, once you buy the car any Dodge dealer will service it. I just bought a 2016 Shamrock 23ws and these campers tow REALLY well, they have independent suspension and have many bells and whistles that are great for camping Again, I saved $3000 on my camper just by doing a lot of searching on the internet, I drove 5 hours to get my camper at Collerian in Ohio, they were great to deal with, my sales guy was named Matt. That Hemi in that Durango would be super! Don't be afraid of the newer ones, they have the most safety items built in, crash zones, air bags etc, also mine has a tow button that makes the transmission shift differently when towing (I love this feature and maybe the newer Durangos have it too) If you are willing to travel a bit and willing to do searching on the computer you can save a lot of money.Looking for CG near Cass WVLooking for CG near Cass WV, can be around 1 hour away I need full hookups for my hybrid, thanks in advance!Re: Cass WVOk, Thanks!
