As this is probably going to be a permanent mount, why not get one of those giant azz sleeper rigs I see going down the road? probably would have a lot more room. We are not KOA members, but have stayed a couple of their parks in the last few years. If you offer to pay cash you can get the same discount as if you were a member. We have never had a bad KOA experience, but it seems you pay more for a lot of extras that we never use. What others have failed to mention is everything you put in the cab of the truck counts toward the carrying capacity. You, the wife, the kids, the carseats, tools, dog, etc... Add in a half a tank of fresh water and you are probably close to the 1000 pound estimate without food, beer, clothes, etc.236Views0likes0CommentsRe: New to truck campers
At least one major manufacturer is switching to all 12V refrigerators for 2023.That is Nu-Camp Cirrus line. They claim it is the wave of the future. They are using 12 Isotherm Cruise 130 refrigerators that draw 4.7 amps/hour. and now have 100 amp hour Battle Born batteries standard, with a 500 amp hour upgrade option (for about 10K) Maybe the new 12V fridges are different than those of a few years ago?1.3KViews0likes0Comments
