The Allison came out of the Monaco factory with Transynd in it. The Allison manual said I should change the fluid at 5,000 miles including the filters, which I did. I was lead to believe that the fluid did not have to be changed again until 150,000 miles. I now have 38,000 miles on the rig. Should I change the fluid and filters now? Is Transynd in the Allison transmission not good for 150,000 miles? Thanks for your expertise. I had a 2002 Allison 3000 with transynd and no where do I read to change trans oil in 5000 miles.I would consider changing the filters around 30K miles and topping off but thats it.NO way do u change allison transynd oil at 5000 miles.NeverRe: Let Me Know if You Have Allison Transmission Fluid Questions randallb wrote: hzjcm, When my 340HP Cummins/2500 Allison combo was new the trans seemed to run extremely cold. As the mileage increased (32,000 now) the operating temp seemed to increase to the 150F range. Last August running from Yuma to San Diego I saw temps in excess of 210F. Is this a normal operating temp in 100F ambient? Randy Iam On my 3rd DP with cummins/Allison 3000 trans and they all run 180-210 dpending on loads and hills and weather temps.I have never seen one run 150 in these conditions.Re: Let Me Know if You Have Allison Transmission Fluid Questions Triker33 wrote: For the average MH that only puts on 3-4k miles a year. Isn't the Allison 36 month filter change and 48 month fluid change of the TES-295 in a 3060MH transmission a bit of overkill. If you never saw any sign of oxidation or shear under hard use. Why not let MH go 60-72 months(up to 25,000 miles) before changing filter/fluid? You can go a lot lot further than 25K miles on transynd in a allison 3060 MHDP transmissionRe: Fire Hazard Appliance Recalls UPDATED NORCOLD INFO 11-20-2010what is the purpose of the second recall? exactly whats involved and is it a upgrade to first recall or? The norcold deal(possible overheating) only when on propane or on both ways?Re: Fire Hazard Appliance Recalls UPDATED NORCOLD INFO 11-20-2010here is what I have done.I installed a CPU style fan in the fridge vent area.It cools the unit so well that the factory overheat cooling fan never cuts in.U can actually feel the heat difference when touching the cooling unit lines using this method verses the factory fan system.Go figure why factory never thought of thisRe: What did you do to your Class A MH today???2002 Tifin 41ft alegro bus.Ripped all the carpet out of living room and bedroom, underneath dinete, main entrance stairs and installed new sub floor.Installed commercial grade Vinal plank flooring.also found factory engine covor was POS so made up new one of those also.Removed old TV and Installed 32 inch lcd and DVD player ready to roll to Indio for the winter in 2 weeksRe: Supplemental Brake Systems - update 8/7/06have not used any as of this posting but looking and the READYBRAKE surge brake systems looks to be the simplest and cheapest of the works out there all mechanical except the electronic monitor
