Our 2014 Silverado Crewcab and Jayflight 29BHS Just upgradedfrom an Explorer and popup, we cant wait to get out there and use our new rig !Re: TV MountThank, I actually found this mount as well. This one has a longer extension. removable tv mount I will try mounting a one by then the mount to hopefully distribute the weight.TV MountI am looking for a way to mount a 24" Flat screen in my Jayflight 29BHS entertainment center but be able to easily move the TV to the bedroom to mount on a shelf. I would like to have the adjustability of an articulating arm but i am concerned with mounting to the wall due to lack of sufficient support. I was thinking the best option would be reinforcing the base with plywood to support the TV and mount. Ideally I would like an adjustable mount that is bottom mounted and is easy to transfer to another location. I have been able to find several items that might work but no solution for moving the TV between rooms. Any Ideas?Re: Suggestions for good camping spots in MichiganThanks for all the suggestions, so far we are going to: Waterloo State Park (this is going to be the first trip with the new TT, close to home in case we have any issues) Hoffmaster State Park A mid October Halloween camping trip at a KOA near Port Huron We will also be taking the trailer to a friend cottage for a long weekend From some of the research I have done I am interested in looking into Tawas, Torch Lake, Warren Dunes, Luddington to name only a few.First Travel Trailer, looking for ideas and suggestionsJust upgraded to a Jayco Jayflight 29BHS from a pop up camper and now have a long winter of coming up with projects on our new camper. I am new here and enjoy these forums, a lot of good advice and ideas. If anyone has suggestions or ideas for anything I am planning, additional projects or must buys i would love to hear them. In no particular order: Adding some USB charging ports (preferably hooked to 12 volt system) Solar battery charger Lights in the storage areas Under awning lights (I noticed people get worked up with outside lighting, i will be sure to be respectful to neighbors)' Bike Rack (prob not off bumper due to concerns of bumper integrity that I have read) Slide out switch cover (keep our 5 yr old from playing with switch) Electric tongue jack stopped working (I assume there's a fuse to replace, worked fine when we picked it up) Upgrade interior lights to LED Bunk Bed ladder for my daughter Replace mattress Wireless Backup camera (that can double as an interior camera to keep an eye on the 5 yr old) TV Mount & General storage and organization I know it might take awhile to get all of these done, I will prob start with some of the less expensive upgrades. ThanksRe: Finally got a new TT!Congrats, We are in almost the exact same scenario, we upgraded to a Jayco Jayflight 29BHS from a pop up the day after Thanksgiving and we are really itching to get out and use it. We only have to wait for 3 cold Michigan months, we already have several trips booked and planned! I enjoy these forums, a lot of good advice and ideas. Many projects planned.Re: Suggestions for good camping spots in MichiganWe are also interested in things to do nearby. All of the above activities sound like things we would enjoy doing. We are also interested in a nice place to just hang out with a nice view and walking distance to lakes or rivers. I am familier with many of the areas in northern Michigan but not nessacerily where to stay. Some areas of intrest are torch lake, southern Michigan lake shore and up in the petosky/traverse city area to name a few. Sorry if my ask was vague, we are really just looking for suggestions of what others enjoy and where it is recommended to stay. ThanksSuggestions for good camping spots in MichiganThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28123812Suggestions for good camping spots in MichiganWe recently upgraded from a pop up to a jayco jay flight 29bhs and are working on planning or trips for the summer. We ussually travel with a couple other families and we all have young kids. We are not really interested in the overcrowded KOA type campgrounds and not nessacerily a focused family type place ( the parents enjoy having some beverages around the campfire after the kids go to bed, we are respectful to the others and are not having loud music parties but not looking for a 11:00 lights out no noise type of place). We have had pretty good luck with state campgrounds but I know there are so many other cool places out there to explorer. We would like to be near water. Does anyone have some good spots to suggest or a site with good info? I am sure there are the hidden gems that people do not want everyone to know about but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ThanksTow MirrorsI just purchased a new 2014 Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 and Jayco Jayflight 29BHS trailer, needless to say I have a whole list of items i need before taking our new toy up north next spring. Just from the short distance towing this from the dealership to storage yard I know mirror extensions will need to be one of my first purchases. I do not want anything that can not be removed for everyday driving but I am concerned with the quality of many of the option i have seen. I am looking for some suggestions. Thanks
