We have a park model and I want to set-up a cooking area for summer outdoor cooking. I need to buy the correct propane rated hoses to make a safe set-up. Any comments on what hoses I need to buy is appreciated, I already have the grill, griddle and propane tank.Re: GettysburgThe Dobbin House has free tours each weekend starting at 10. They are free and interesting. The museum and cyclorama at the visitor center is well done. There is a fee. 2-4 hours depending on interest. The Seminary museum is also well done. Fee and worth 1-2 hours. The Shriver House does an excellent tour. Fee and maybe 1 hour. Jennie Wade house is a cool tour. Fee less than an hour. I have been to the battlefield over 209 times in my life. Rain never stopped me from being on the field. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your experience.Re: Park Model /RVFlood Insurance jcsb wrote: There have been several articles on the news about flood insurance. Summary, only available thru a government agency and only is areas the the government has classified as flood planes. Good luck. I suspect that since it is a trailer, the insurance companies will say you should move it if it may flood. Thanks. But Park models with a fixed wooden deck and an aluminum awning (plus the toungue is removed) is not easily moved. We are definately in a flood plain. I will investigate further on our options.Re: Park Model /RVFlood Insurance Dutch_12078 wrote: Ask your insurance agent about "Comprehensive" coverage, sometimes known as “other than collision” coverage. This coverage can help pay for non-collision damage to your RV including damage from floods, storms, vandalism, theft, falling objects, and other disasters. I have comprehensive coverage. It includes everything you mentioned except floods.Park Model /RVFlood InsuranceWe have a Kropf Park Model rv in Western NY. We are very near a stream. All of this wet weather has us concerned about flood damage. The insurance company who insures our unit doesn't cover or carry flood damage/insurance, Others in our camp with trailers/5th wheels have the same concern. With all the recent wet weather, what options do rv/park model owners have in purchasing flood insurance for their unit?Re: Must-sees on NY, PAChautauqua Institution in Western NY is a great location. If you are a Lucille Ball fan, you can't miss her home/grave/museum in Nearby Jamestown NY. I oiled then angle down to southern Pa. Fallingwater (Frank Lloyd Wright's) master piece is a must see. Nearby 40 miles or so is the flight 93 Memorial. I woul then travel on to Gettysburg which has more monuments than any battlefield in the world. An hour east of Gettysburg is Amish country which is worth a drive by, Then on to Philly to see Independence Hall/Liberty Bell/Ephrams Alley/Christ Church plus all the other historic sites. If you like history, you can't miss Philly and Gettysburg.Re: Trip to Northeast statesPa. Crabtree is about 5 miles north of Greensburg on Pa Route 119. They have excellent meats.Re: destination trailer advice pleaseDon't forget to look at Park Models. We have a 2016 Kropf Park model and love it. At our campground, approximately 90% of the sites are permanent units. Our unit is so roomy and comfortable. We ordered the extra insulation package which makes cold weather camping comfortable.Re: Good Fishing in PAThe State College area has excellent summer trout fishing. Northern Bedford county also has excellent summer trout fishing and youare in easy driving distance to Raystone Lake ( deep lake that can be tough in summer). Erie Pa has access to Lake Erie and Presque Isle. Need a boat or guide. Susquehanna River can be good but guides are recommended. Warren Pa gives you access to Kinzua Lake. Youghiogheny River and Lake are decent in summer plus access to Ohiopyle, Frank Lloyd Wrights Fallingwater and the Flight 93 memorial. Good luck. I would trout fish in the State College area myselfy. Numerous world class trout streams in the area.
