I couldn't stand the cheap looking decals on my camper, whats nice about going to a decal shop is that you can customize the decals to your liking. Your best friend to remove decals is a 3M Decal remover wheel, it peels the decal right off without damaging paint, and is much faster and less risky than a heat gun (it was for a novice like myself anyway) There are a couple videos on youtube about applying decals, but its pretty easy if you take your time.Re: Transporting travel trailer in extreme cold conditionsThat's a great idea to fire up the furnace & let her warm up, makes perfect sense. ..don't know why I didn't think of that! ThanksTransporting travel trailer in extreme cold conditionsAs my fellow Canadians will know, January obviously has the potential to be the one coldest time of the year, especially in northern Saskatchewan. I am wondering if I should be concerned if it happens to be -30' temps when the time comes to transport my camper to my new home, if there will be anything breaking, cracking, splitting, shattering etc as I transport my camper to my new home driving over the rough frozen terrain (it would be about a 20 mile trip) My guess is it will be fine if I go slow and steady, but I just want to be sure incase there is something I am not aware of.Interior detailing/ protection... less dust?I am an automotive detailing enthusiast & I have noticed many of the products I use on/in my TT tend to attract dust, the areas I go camping have been quite dry this summer & the downside to my truck and trailer being shiny, is they are dust magnets. I am mainly concerned with the interior of my camper & while I would like to keep it clean and protected, I am wondering if there are some products that do the job but don't attract so much dust. On the interior of my trailer I mainly use household products to clean and protect it as I would at home. Products like Pledge (while it looks fine) on the cabinets tend to attract dust. Also I am wondering what works to clean/protect the walls (standard textured wall board or what ever it may be called that most modern trailers have) And the flooring is Beaufloor vinyl flooring. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Re: Exterior damage, need advice :(Makes sense, the old holes will be filled with new butyl anyway I guess, getting the old stuff off, it it basically plastic scraper, heat gun and patience?Re: Exterior damage, need advice :(After reading my own thread and its title, I probably came off like the unit was ripped in half or something haha, I know its pretty minor, I just like keeping my stuff looking as new as possible for as long as possible, I will pull that piece off, but I might have to throw some washers or something in behind the screws too as the trim pulled through the heads on some of themExterior damage, need advice :(:SWell I turned a little too sharp too soon pulling out of my spot in the backyard on Friday heading out to the lake, didn't see what I had done til I got there, put a damper on the evening because I am a little OCD about taking really good care of my belongings, but like the wife said, could have been worse, other people have worse problems and it can be fixed... anyway I caught the 'trim' that joins the corners together & ripped it out. I am a pretty handy guy & If I can repair it myself I would prefer to, but if not I'll take to the professionals. I just want to see if I am on the right track as to how this might be repaired.. I am assuming the the caulking covering the screws has to come off, followed by removing the trim insert, removing all the attaching screws & caulking, then removing this whole piece top to bottom, then either straighten out, or replace & recaulk and put trim insert back in.. if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate any help, first battle scar the trailer, gotta slow down and watch them mirrors. :(This site is Fan-Tastic:p Pardon the pun, but seriously I just want to give credit where its due. Last summer I upgraded my tent trailer to a Outdoors RV 18F & I love it, however I had one mild concern & that was running the bathroom fan constantly to exhaust the warm air. Which was when I learned of the Fantastic fan (and other various brands obviously) from you fine folks, I ended up purchasing a 4000r & installed it this spring, we went on our first camping trip last weekend. WOW this thing is amazing, it got fairly hot out and we didn't even consider turning on the AC, the fan on low was more than enough, the breeze it created was so nice, it was definitely a valuable investment. If it wasn't for you helpful folks on this site, I wouldn't have known such an accessory existed. So thanks! ...thanks for info on LED lights as well, that was my other upgrade, looking forward to the summer!
