FrankShore wrote: This is what I bought on the advice of forum members here: Get Rid Of Ants X2 - We use this at home, too. Be sure you get "food grade" rather than DE meant for swimming pools.Re: How do I connect the second batteryJust another quick suggestion. Once you finally figure out the correct hookup, take a picture of it. We actually printed one out and keep it in the trailer. That way we have no questions about just how we did it when reinstalling the batteries after winter storage.Re: How To Deal With Unwanted Ants? FrankShore wrote: Thanks for the tips on Diatomaceous Earth, I'll pick up a bag a Amazon! We got it at Home Depot in the garden department. Our neighbor paid an exterminator to come out for the ants in her garage. We got rid of ours faster using DE.Re: Best Mid July Fishing Moosehead05 wrote: What about shore fishing without crowds?? You're kidding, right?Re: Extended Warranty or NotWe were also talked into the extended warranty, and we also talked ourselves out of it almost immediately and cancelled. It took four months of wrangling to get our money back, but we finally did.Re: Over weight Rottie"Ask the vet about amputation but he said it's a no go." Did the vet tell you why? Many giant breed dogs do just fine on three legs. I would recommend that you check out Tripawds.com for tons of information on canine amputation. While a lot of the dogs there have become Tripawds because of a cancer diagnosis, birth defects and accidents are also some of the reasons for amputation. They have a forum section called Size and Age Matters which might be helpful to you.Re: St. Patrick's day good time for a Murphy questionThe dinette in our Cougar was installed over the top of the carpet in the slide. We just unscrewed the fasteners and out she went! We also replaced the uncomfortable sofa bed that had the inflatable mattress with a much lighter weight one that we found on Wayfair. Easy peasy!Re: RV park S.F. area, trips to Monterrey, Santa Cruz, 6 Flags TyroneandGladys wrote: lhenry8113 wrote: There is a small KOA between Santa Cruz and Monterey called Moss Landing KOA. Very clean, right next to the ocean and beach, 3 great restaurants in walking distance and a Marina. Definitely one of our favorite campgrounds. Not the S.F. Bay area but a little jewel to know about if in the area. Lars X2 If you stay there, be sure to go to Phil's Fish Market for lunch If you are going to be there the weekend of the Wharf to Wharf race in July, make your reservations now. The KOA is quite expensive that weekend, but could be the only game in town.Re: Where do you put your trash can? RoyF wrote: To keep the dog out of the trash, we use one of those cans with a foot-operated pedal. It stays on floor in the kitchen area, but it is not in the way of anything. Our Lab has recently learned how to use the foot pedal on the one in the bathroom at the S&B. Fortunately he has so far brought his treasures to show us what he found. Looking for something more secure. In the trailer we use a small wastebasket lined with a grocery bag under the sink. Walking to the dumpster at the end of the day is good exercise for us and the dog.Re: Those pesky 180 days pawatt wrote: Not sure this is right, I think a bit more research is needed. If I was a snowbird from Canada, I would definitely check on it.
