What is best way to sell our travel trailer?
We are nearing the end of our epic trip across the USA (5,500 miles so far. We will have done 6,000 by the time we are done) and will be landing in Port Jervis, New York. We would like to sell our 2001 Tahoe by Thor 30MS travel trailer and wonder if it is best to try and consign it somewhere or post on Craigslist. Any suggestions gratefully received. Shotgunner, yes we have 4 kids and 2 dogs. It is going to be an experience for sure. We have planned a general route but will be flexible. I am in a horse group and have many offers of putting us up (trailer, kids, dogs and all) at quite a few places along the way. Couple of questions about using the forum: 1. Can I reply to individual comments? Or does my reply always go to the end of the thread? 2. How do I post pics? 3. Is there an iPhone app for the forum? We have horses and so do have experience of towing. I am okay at backing up (not brilliant) but my husband is an ace at it, fortunately. I am going to see if we can squeeze in a few extra days. Not sure we will be able to push it to 6 weeks, much as we would love to. Yes, the trip is one way. We are Brits and we're heading back to the UK after nearly ten years in the US. Maybe we'll be back one day but for now our elderly parents need us over there. We LOVE it in the US. It really is a great country. So much freedom and opportunity for all. Hello all, we are fairly new to travel trailer camping. Done lots of tent camping and took the family on a motorhome trip back in 2007. We just (yesterday) bought our new (used) Thor Tahoe 30MS travel trailer. We are about to embark on a trip starting in Reno, Nevada, heading north to Bend, Oregon then Portland, Seattle, Montana, South Dakota, Iowa City, Chicago, Virginia and ending north of New York. We have given ourselves 30 days or thereabouts. Everyone we know has recommended the Good Sam Club and we would love to be able to ask advice if need be as we go along.
