Re: Family Camping Groups
This is a great idea.I am the president of a camping group in Maryland. We cover a wide geography from the west to central MD to Southern MD. We are always looking for fun people to come and join the group. We are the MD Road Runners, a Good Sam Chapter. We have families with small children, grown children and no children. Working stiffs and retirees. It's wonderful to have a mixture of people to camp with and camping in a group is always more fun. Before we formed this group we always watched the groups of campers with envy. The pot luck meals, the nights by the fire telling stories. We have always enjoyed camping as a family but now we have other families with similar interests to share this with and we've become very close. Once a month we camp together based on a schedule that is set early in the camping season. This allows us plenty of alone family time and lots of group camping time when we're able to join.
