All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: How do I remove the instrument panel on a 2005 35E bounder>My 2002 Southwind (also by Fleetwood) has velcro (yes, I said VELCRO!)across the top of the dash above the instrument cluster where it joins the flat top of the dash, and two screws at the bottom slides. Work your finger under the velcro to pull it apart and the front of the dash will rotate down on the two screws far enough to get the cluster out. By the way, I replaced the velcro with new industrial strength velcro and it quietened down the squeaks and groans that come from all Fleetwood dashes.Re: What's This? Mystery switchIt allows you to play the radio without turning on the ignition switch while parked. Be careful, it can run down your starting battery.Re: Blue Ox Brake System info....Contact Blue Ox Customer Service at 402-385-3051. You can buy them at most RV Shops. It's the greatest device that I have purchased for my coach. I have my dehumidifier placed between my split windshields and I empty 3 to 4 inches of water out of it a week. Great Question! Yep! I bought one 3 years ago and haven't had a problem with condensation since. It's much cheaper at Walmart than RV shops. Just plug it in and empty the water every once in a while.Re: Issues with Toad Pigtail Johno02 wrote: We spray the connectors with electronic contact cleaner regularly. Seems to work for us. Re: Batteries dead...won't startLike BigBlockTank says, check the battery first. Most auto parts places will load test it for free. Take it in for the test. Another thing to check if the battery checks OK... My ground cable uses a clamp type terminal ( like THIS ). There was some corrosion inside the clamp that was preventing the coach from getting a good ground when cranking. I cut off the corroded cable end and put a new clamp on and have had no problems since. Everything seemed to work til I tried to start and the high load was too much for the damaged ground cable.Re: mail fowardingWe have used the USPS temporary forwarding order for several years. We usually go to one spot for 3-4 months and have the temporary forward to there from the time we leave to about 30 days before we anticipate coming home. Then we issue a hold mail for that last 30 days and that mail is there when we get home. We do use online statements and bill pay so we can still do business while we are gone. Most of our bills are set up to autopay to one credit card and I pay it online monthly. All this has worked for us without problems for several years, and costs nothing. The forwarding and holds can be set up on line and changed on line if your plans change. Be aware that some mail in not forwardable. Mostly things like bank statements, credit cards, some credit card statements. That'w why online statements are good.Re: slides doesn't work nor my levelersCheck the lock out swithes. Mine has to have switch on, tranny in park, and park brake on. The tranny and park brake each have a switch that can be out of adjustment or failedRe: Mystery SwitchMy Southwind has three similar switches: 1. Fog lights; 2. Driver side compartment lights master switch; and 3. Under hood light. All have a "headlight" type emblem on them, just at different angles.
