The plywood however, there doesn't appear to be any but I have yet to drop the underbody so I am not certain.. I'm getting further into it tomorrow.. I'll update afterwards..Fresh water tank sagging, need your thoughtsHello everyone.. 2006 Keystone Raptor 2617 It appears the mounts/straps for the fresh tank in this unit are sagging horribly. Enough that the enclosure and the tank are almost resting on the axle's. This appears to be a simple remove and replace straps but I am curious about future sagging. I have been told that the design of the straps are such that when the tank begins to expand as it is filled the straps allow the tank to sag slightly. Question is do I attempt to replace the straps similar to the way Keystone originally supplied or do I do it my way which is using flat steel as supports.. ThanksRe: Brakes stickingNever towed in winter/salt conditions. Race season was long over before winter so we always had the rig parked and out of service during that time period.Re: Brakes stickingHello gang, I am experiencing a similar issue in that the trailer brakes seem to remain activated after completing a turn and releasing the brake. A quick tap of the brake pedal would release the braking. I noticed this as the rig continued to slow and the brake booster still showed the brakes being active. I could not replicate the condition in a straight line. Would a brake sticking fool the booster into thinking the brakes are still being applied by the driver? The trailer had been sitting until last evening since October in outside in northern Indiana. 6 mile drive home .. 2006 Raptor 2617 triple axle. Thanks in advance Also the symptom I speak of does not occur if the vehicle comes to a complete stop before a turn. Turning into my subdivision does not require a full stop. Trail braking is the only time I notice this.Re: Generator fuel additives.. yeah or nayUpdate.. Cleaned plugs, removed fuel filter at the carb, drained the carb and gave a thorough cleaning with carb cleaner, drained old fuel and replaced with new. Started up with little effort. Will be replacing the fuel filter at the fuel pump, plugs, air filter and will be doing an oil and filter change as well. Will begin a regimen of running the gen set monthly as well as using an additive, brand yet to be determined. Yeah for me..Re: Generator fuel additives.. yeah or nayThanks again gang, I fear however that it may be too late for cleaning or additives.. I consider myself lucky that this issue has not reared its ugly head sooner. The fuel filter(s)will need replacing, the one at the carb is not needed so an adapter is available. Likely a new fuel pump, spark plugs and carb (if I cannot get it clean). Good news is the unit is completely salvageable, I just need to not be so lax on the maintenance to avoid this in the future. Proper storage preparations and additives will be done going forward. We have an Onan dealer here in Elkhart that is pretty good about offering suggestions and help instead of just (Bring it on in and we'll fix er up). I'll post again as things progress. Thanks again.Re: Generator fuel additives.. yeah or nayThanks Gents.. SF seems to be quite popular and I will likely be applying an application asap. This generator in its heyday would run 12-15 hours a day at a filthy dirty drag strip, I likely should have been using this sooner but alas, hindsight is 20/20.. so my dad always said..Generator fuel additives.. yeah or nayHi gang, I have a 2006 Keystone Raptor 2617 with the Onan 5500 gen-set. I am ashamed to say that I am just over 500 hours and am just now changing the fuel filter and spark plugs. Oil and air filter has been changed as per the maintenance directions. The fuel filter is needing replaced due to leaking but the plugs were all black/soot covered... My question is this, does anyone have a recommendation regarding a fuel additive/cleaner for the cylinders, valves etc. I store the vehicle with stable and each year until this year it started very quickly. I will have the plugs and filter replaced in the next few days as time allows... Thanks in advance.. Dean
