It'll roll over a few times, then click/click. Seems like I recall the gauge showing around 10 volts when this happens. If I drive it every few days there is no issue. I should just break down and drive it daily, it gets better mileage than my s-10 4x4. But that little 4 door S-10 is a good commuter. Thanks for the advise folks!!Battery TendersKeep in mind I'm a noob to the diesel world,,,,, So twice now the batteries have run down on my Duramax from lack of use. I'm starting to look for an inexpensive tender that I can mount to the vehicle. I'm kinda looking at the Tender Jr. 800. I know the 800 milliamps is not much for actual charging,, but I suppose it could maintain an already fully charged system. I want to mount the unit in the engine compartment somewhere, then hard wire at the battery terminals and have a 120 volt pigtail coming out of the grill. My question is if I hardwire it to the terminals, would it be harmful to the tender if I drove the vehicle with it still hooked up ( not powered up,, but still hooked to the battery )., While running, will the current from the alternator reverse into the tender and burn it up? Thanks in advance folks.Re: DuramaxBut ain't it a beautiful mornin'!!!!Re: Duramax Old-Biscuit wrote: OP has posted several times but has yet to confirm.......so I'll stick with the 65mph stamped on sidewall but bet they are 15" vs 16" OP will openly admit that he hasn't taken the time to go outside with a flashlight ( time change and all ) and look at the tires. OP has a job that keeps him inside during daylight hours, and he only gets little moments here and there to follow up on his thread. If OP had to guess, he'd say they were probably 15's. OP is man enough to say you are probably right, so by all means take your victory lap and enjoy the moment.Re: Electric brakes??Thanks folks!!!Re: Duramax LIKE2BUILD wrote: Of course, far be it from me to tell the OP a Duramax was a bad decision and the only good decision is a Cummins ;) :B ..... but hey, to each his own. :) KJ That's it,,,, now my feelings are hurt and I'm taking my checkers and going to another barbershop for a drink of coffee and some poker.:BRe: Duramax bid_time wrote: Was there something in this post that was supposed to be of value? Thanks Barney!Electric brakes??First off, my apologies if I posted this in the wrong section. Can anyone offer a good reading or video source for electric brake adjustment basics? I admittedly know nothing about them, and have only piddled with adjustments up to this point,, but would really like to read some "best practices" on the subject.Re: Duramax gbopp wrote: Maybe the OP only tows at 75 because any faster would interfere with texting and video games they're playing? :B Your sense of humor dear sir,,,,,, is greatly appreciated!!!!
