We like to travel from Paso Robles over to I5 north to avoid San Jose and the east bay area. Traffic seems to be heavy most of the time through San Jose and towing through that traffic is no fun. We do, however, like the smell of the garlic through Gilroy!Re: Microwave Not Working on Generator PowerThanks for your replies. Found a breaker on the generator tripped. Didn't even realize they were there.Re: Table in FuzionGreat!! Thanks for the suggestion. I was concentrating on the floor, but making an adjustment at the table makes a lot of sense. Happy Riding!!Re: Did you name your toyhauler?"Fuzzy"Table in FuzionOur table leans towards the sofa when it's installed because the base is not level. Has anyone else been able to resolve this issue? Is this the way the table is designed? Thanks for your replies.Microwave Not Working on Generator PowerFor some reason my microwave has no power when I have the generator powered up, but it works fine when I am plugged into shore power. I don't recall having this issue last year (we have had the rig about a year now) but I also don't recall using the micro when the generator is running. We did use the AC last summer with no issues. Am I missing something? Is there a switch that's not flipped? Thanks for your replies.Re: How do I know what used TH is worth? (To est. a good price)NADAGuides.com has an RV section.Generator Oil ChangeSo, we live in the beautiful yet very wet/moist Pacific Northwest. I need to change the oil in my generator (Fuzion 302) and am wondering if I would not be better off waiting until spring so condensation doesn't collect in the oil. We do plan on using the 5th wheel throughout the winter but doubt we will be in any situation when we would need the generator. Opinions?Re: Towing in Freezing Weather d-mac1 wrote: joebedford wrote: Assuming you mean zero F, I would winterize. I've towed with the fridge on but never the furnace. Temp during this tow will probably be in the mid 20s F and snowing some. Not zero yet. This will be my first tow in snow and not thrilled about it, but hopefully they don't get too much. I don't know whether I should lighten up the brake controller if/when it gets slick? You'll want to keep your trailer breaks aggressive to eliminate fish tailing if it's slick. Too much truck break may cause the trailer fish tail and/or push your truck if slick.Re: HWY 97 (WA)We travel that route quite frequently. Snoqualmie is 4 lanes headed up from the west and the slower vehicles are well behaved and stay to the right. I believe it is 4 lanes from the east as well...can't fully recall right now. But it is definitely at least 3 lanes. Blewitt Pass, Hwy 97, is a NICE highway, though it is mostly 2 lanes. There is a passing lane for the last few miles in each direction. I have gotten stuck behind slower vehicles but never where there is a passing lane. It's not as steep and windy from the south (west). This route is definitely my favorite when headed to that area. The only trouble is there are basically 3 passes when traveling this way if you take Tiger Mountain (passing lanes in each direction.) This can take a toll on your mileage, but when towing you should expect a hit compared to not towing.
