To the OP, try this: Fill fresh water tank with 15 gallons of water and 1/2 cup household bleach. Tow your trailer around for about 10-15 mins to slosh the bleach mixture around. Bypass the water heater, then pump the mixture through the hot and cold water lines. Leave mixture sit for a few hours then drain the tank and fully fill with water. Run the fresh water through each hot and cold line for 15-20 secs. You are done. Works fine for me. This is the answer. Include the low point drains.Re: Best Sealant to re-seal RV side hatch covers etc.I’ve used Dicor non leveling and iirc I used quad seal in certain places. I wouldn’t use silicone. It’s a lot of work to detail an rv but the nice neat look is greatRe: Metal Structure on RV's Rear: What Is Its Purpose? The previous owner had to have welded that. Even China wouldn’t do that. LolRe: Used to be informativeBack in the day it was Mexico wanderer, 2oldman and many others. That was about 5 to 10 years ago. We started snowbirding in 2013 and I set up our FW and utility trailer to double tow our atv and dirt bikes. This site was excellent for info on powering up an rv for boondocking. Now that my wife has passed on Im probably downsizing to my tiny cabin and a Honda rancher on my utility trailer. I always liked Quartzite and Ogilby rd in socal. I didn’t want to go to farcebook but maybe I have toRe: Slab sinkingThere are companies that will drill it and shoot expanding foam under it to lift it. Probably some diy people on YouTubeRe: Then what? Is lithium better or the same as cobalt and other minerals? My son is a chemical engineer that is working on an feasibility project at the salton sea to get lithium. We haven’t talked about it lately so I don’t know what they determinedRe: Then what?Reisend Thanks for explaining. I was thinking wth lolRe: Then what? It’s probably a few years away from being a level 5 autonomous system like that but it’s actually not far off. We like it. Mostly voice control. Kinda cool. Excellent. How many traffic deaths and injuries are caused by humans every year...? Yah true. We have had some enlightening situations. Couple weeks ago we couldn’t figure out why it did a hard brake. Bad winter visibility. We didn’t see the lady approaching the crosswalk, but Jarvis did. (My wife’s name for her Tesla). Jarvis waited until she crossed and then continued on. Last week it turned o to a street with a delivery van that was stopped. It was tight as it had to go between the delivery van and a parked car on the other side, it slowed down, put the mirrors in, went thru, put the mirrors out and continued on its way. Very cool. It’s not perfect and still has a few intersections it doesn’t handle well but it improves with every update. (About once per month). When the lines are poor or snow covered it struggles. It needs constant monitoring and one must be ready to take over at any time. But it’s a level 2 system and that’s the way it is…for now. Hold on now. Lol. Let me be sure that I understand what you are saying. While it’s in autonomous mode you have to be ready to respond at any moment? If it’s in autonomous mode that would seem to indicate that the driver is relaxing and paying attention to other things. If you had to take over in a flash wth do you do? If you were not paying attention to everything that you would be paying attention to while you were driving how can you instantly know everything that’s going on when you have to take over It seems safer to just drive it and eliminate that possibility. Nothing wrong with high tech tools to sense things and help the driver but remain in controlRe: Then what? Reisender wrote: azrving wrote: Autonomous driving isn’t actually a good thing either. People can think it’s far fetched but in the green agenda it’s far far more realistic than thinking that we are going to RV. Tell me one way that packing up and leaving your house to travel all over is green The other side of autonomous driving is that when medical reasons take your license away you’ll be able to keep your independence. Just jump in the car and say “take me to Walmart” or “the hospital” or wherever. We have full self drive (beta) on our car. It’s not a bad thing but a lot of people probably only look at it as a thing that is there if they want to use vs the whole system changing and it won’t include RVing. It would be far safer saving hundreds of thousands of lives each year and billions in care. It’s a system that wouldn’t include me driving a 1 ton diesel truck with a FW and a utility trailer behind it carrying two quads and two dirt bikes so we can ride around in the desert It’s sort of energy intensive lol I don’t think Klaus at the WEF would approveRe: Then what?Autonomous driving isn’t actually a good thing either.
