One winter a mouse (and perhaps his family) got into the camper and apparently wintered in 2 of the 5 lengths of ducting. I discovered this when I first started up the furnace in the spring :E but thought I could simply clean them out. Not a chance, I ended up having to replace the affected ducting with brand new - that turned out to be not a difficult task at all because it was all above floor. Had this been underfloor ducting this job would have been a nightmare as I'd have had to first remove the Coroplast to get to the ducts. :M Re: 1st time buyer (TT)Well we picked up our TT a couple weeks ago. Stayed in it in the driveway. Had a reason storm and unfortunately learned a lot of water on to the bed. Found out there was a quarter sized hole in the seal. Now we found the wood was stripped where the screws for the table leg cups. First trip is a one night stay at a KOA.Re: 1st time buyer (TT) drsteve wrote: Congratulations! Cause someone said add 100 lbs fire the distribution hitch. Is tongue weight for RAWR or something else?Re: 1st time buyer (TT)Thanks everyone for the input, and by all means keep it coming.Re: 1st time buyer (TT)M. Brewster, from my understanding (and I may be wrong) that the UVA is marked on the TT itself once off the line and the GVWR for the trailer is how much weight our can hold. I understand batteries are not included, but I have heard to give yourself about a 500-1000 lb buffer from the UVA and your towing capacity. KerrlakeRoo, that's what I've been telling my wife. Unfortunately she likes the bunks and is more of a wants it new and now type. Oldwizard1, see above.Re: 1st time buyer (TT) OldShu wrote: Thanks! Renting a similar weight TT would be my recommendation as well. See how truck does towing. Thanks. Glad to hear another confirmation from an outside source.
