I have a 2015 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi and coil springs. the only mod I did was replace the bump stops with Timbrens and it handles great. My truck has a 3200 lb payload rating and the truck sat right at level with the camper on before the Timbrens were installed. All the Timbrens do is add stability. Have been running this setup for 4 years and have no issues.Re: HELP...Strange Tire WearIt looks like the tire might be cambered (tilted) inward causing wear on the inside part of the tread.Re: Couch, or No CouchWe have a 26ft bunkhouse with a couch and would not be without it. In fact, that was the main reason for going with this particular trailer. I like not having to always sit at a dinette and it gives more sitting room for the whole family instead of being cramped up at the dinette.Re: Ram integrated brake control Nicholsfamily05 wrote: F100jetmech wrote: I am towing about 6500 lbs and have the IBC set on light electric with the gain at 5 and everything is working properly- 2015 Ram 2500 Yes yours would work fine it's below the 12,000 lbs. As we have previously mentioned it works fine for trailers under 12,000lbs. Actually, YOU said that you BELIEVED it works fine below 12,000 lbs- there was nothing to conclusively say that previously in the thread. I, like a lot of others with "light" trailers on here were just trying to help by giving our experiences for comparison.Re: Ram integrated brake controlI am towing about 6500 lbs and have the IBC set on light electric with the gain at 5 and everything is working properly- 2015 Ram 2500Re: Who all has more than one RV?I have the camper and a 26' TT. The camper is mainly for when we tow the boat, the TT is for when we aren't towing the boat and want more room.Re: New Truck tailgate cameraI have the 2500 with coils and only added Timbrens to it. The back end sits about an inch or so above level with approximately 3000 lbs of camper in the bed and rides great. As far the tailgate camera goes, it is awesome when hitching up my travel trailer- glad I have it. PatRe: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereOld camper, new truck! Re: 2500 Ram coil springsI traded in my 1998 Chevy for a 2015 Ram 2500, 6.4 Hemi (with rear coil springs) and it handles my camper just fine without any mods. My camper is around 2800 lbs ready to camp and the truck has a 3200 lb payload rating. I don't see why people are scared of coils as opposed to leaf springs, the coils on the truck are designed to handle the stated payload.
