Just make sure the exhaust outlet is in a place that will allow the Genturi to be mounted vertically. We had use it on our previous rig just fine. We are having a generator installed in the new rig, and the typical location for the exhaust is directly under a slide, making the use of the Genturi in that location impossible. I'll have to have the exhaust run much further towards the rear to the first area the Genturi can be installed and not interfere with other equipment.Re: Coach-Net Road Side Assistance -- Are you unhappy? We've been using Coach Net for years and love it. We usually have at least ONE reason to call them each year. We've found them to be very responsive & helpful. They even call back after a day or two to ensure the service they arranged for me was satisfactory, and that THEIR service was up to par. I'd recommend them to everyone.Re: Good Metal adhesive ? Goostoff wrote: 3M panel Bond is what I use when glueing body panels on cars. It is every bit as strong as welding when used correctly. Only downside is that it is expensive and requires a $75 gun to apply it. You can order it from O'reily auto parts or Advance auto Parts as well as Napa and stuff. I found myself in need of some adhesive to stick painted fiberglass to painted steel. Looked around on the web and found another 3M product: Structural Adhesive. A two-part adhesive that comes in tubes about the size of a medium toothpaste tube. No special tools required, but don't waste any time between mixing and application. I found it at O'Reilys as well. About $35, and believe me, the stuff works. Just follow instructions and prep both surfaces well. Update: I have used epoxy kits from Lowes, HD, etc as well. Please be aware that the structural adhesive I mentioned is NOT "same stuff, different packaging". The 3M Structural Adhesive is not something readily available to the general public. I have NEVER seen it sitting on a shelf, ready for sale, in any store visited by regular folks needing an adhesive. I've only seen it on 3M website, and only found it available to order at OReilys because one of their parts runners visited my business & mentioned he'd delivered it to another customer.Re: Hitch Pin HelpI have had both Mor-Ryde and Trail Air pin boxes. Both worked equally well when combined with a Pull Rite 18klb fully articulated 5th wheel hitch in the bed of a long bed crew cab. I don't believe you can ever eliminate ALL chucking, but you can do some simple things to help minimize it. Have both TV & 5r level when fully loaded and hooked up. My rig has height adjustments in both the pin box and the hitch. Most pin boxes and hitches do, these days. Remember to allow for clearance between the top of bed rails and the underside of the 5r. This won't do squat for chucking, but it will save damage $. A good suspension system on the 5r helps. Morryde makes some excellent suspension components that can be installed by any competent suspension mech in a just a few hours. I've used their components on three different rigs and they all work great. The wheelbase of the TV, the wheelbase of the 5r, and the length of each slab on those concrete roadways has everything to do with the chucking getting started in the first place. Loading can be a big factor in how the rig rides overall. As with any towed vehicle, you never want more weight behind the axles than on the tongue.Re: Hitch Pin Help rhagfo wrote: B.O. Then see if you have shocks on the 5er, they will help with the total towing experience. And shocks are a relatively ez install with a great benefit in return.Re: Thinking of a 53' semi-Fifth wheel by SpacecraftFor those interested, there are a few videos on YouTube of the Spacecraft rigs. Walk-through inside and out. Just search "spacecraft RV" on YouTube.Re: Mattress help.A few years ago, we had two different memory foam mattresses. I hated both due to the fact that after only a short time, the "memory" part reverted to retaining the indentation where I lay. This resulted in feeling like I was sleeping in a depression, ditch-like condition. Hated it. Started seeing the Casper mattress being advertised and decided to try it. The price wasn't any more than most other king size mattresses. I'm here to tell you that Casper was WELL WORTH the money. No indentation retention. It's made from two separate foams, and sleeps like a dream. It comes rolled up in a box. When I first saw it, I thought "Great. This was a mistake." Now? I would recommend it to anyone. Their warranty: If you don't like it, send it back. FULL refund. THEY pay shipping both ways.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereTraded for this a few months ago... 2005 F350 6.0 PSD King Ranch CC LB 4x4. Now... if I could just get my TT sold, we'll go pull the trigger on a new full-timing quality 5'er like this: Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~OK, here's more: Here's pics from Lost Bridge North campground, on Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas: Here's a link to my Photobucket account where these pictures, and more, are located. Please have a look, and watch the video I put together about the trip (it's a first attempt, so cut me some slack please!). It's in two parts at the very end of the album, just click on each to play. Please have a sense of humor! Also, feel free to look around at the other photo albums I've put togetherRe: ~Post your campsite photos here~Pine Grove Furnace State Park in Pennsylvania, site 40 I believe. Arrowhead Marina & RV Park near Scotia, New York (that's close to Albany) I don't remember the site number, but it's right on the Mohawk River. Beautiful place.
