I haul at least 300 lbs of rocks home every winter from AZ and in the summer haul about the same amount home from CO. Anyone need rocks let me know. LOL.Re: For those with no bathroom access during travel mode.Have to have access to bathroom and frig, wouldn't have one without. At my age you can't "hold" it until the next place, you have to pull off and get it done.Re: Wolf Creek Pass Which directionBeen over it many times, one of the easiest passes to go over either direction and plenty of places to pull over if needed.Re: Getting Through OK CityWe always use the turnpike when headed West or coming back home but we have the pikepass so don't know how much the toll is. Road is so much better that way.Re: Auxiliary fuel tankI have used a 95 gal RDS gravity flow tank in both Chevy and Ram trucks, no issues what so ever. They just connect to the filler pipe about 12 inches down and have a check valve to prevent overfilling. I always just put fuel in the large tank and go, over the years I have saved many a dollar in fuel costs, sometimes up to a dollar a gal by bypassing a state where fuel is extremely high and not having to refuel until you want to is a big plus. Wouldn't tow without one.Re: Cleaning the solar panelsRain seems to help mine a lot, I don't do ladders or roof!Re: LTVA "storage"Last year at Imperial Dam LTVA there was 2 campers across from us that were sitting vacant the entire time we were there. According to a camper down the road they were using the site as a place to keep their trailer for the winter as it was cheaper to pay for a season pass at the BLM than to pay for storage in Yuma. Imagine that! FYI, don't know if that was true or not, just what we were told.Walmart for overnight near Bastrop/Monticello LouisianaAnyone used a Walmart in these areas for overnight? Any recommendations or other suggestions for overnight in this area? Thanks!Re: 75 Speed Limit - How FastWe used to do all those things when working, drive night and day to get there at high speeds, play like crazy and drive like a maniac to get home in time to go to work so we could rest from our vacation. Thank god those days are over! Now if we do 200 miles in a day that is a long day and we can actually see the scenery as we go by. 62-64 MPH is our magic number unless the speed limit is lower but in case of the 80 MPH speed limits we'll be in the right lane at 62-64.
