I was wondering about a true Crew Cab or a Mega Cab as a tow vehicle with a slider hitch as a replacement if it becomes necessary. All comments are welcome...Thanks JohnRe: Routes North from Santa Rosa NMHey folks, we just finished our trip through NM. The route most of you preferred from Clines Corners to Santa Fe, Chama, Pagosa Springs and on into Bayfieid is a much prettier drive than 550, although it is slower track. Thanks for all the info...John.Routes North from Santa Rosa NMWe will be starting our annual trip to the PNW. We are going west this year to Odessa TX then north to Santa Rosa NM. After Santa Rosa We will decide on going north to Raton/Colorado City CO. on 84/25 or 550 out of Albuquerque to Durango CO. I was wanting to if there is significant grades on 84. Another thought was West to Clines Corner NM , 285 to Santa Fe and 84 into Pagosa Springs CO then 160 to Durango. Any info is Appreciated. Will be pulling Cougar 280RL with 09 Dodge 2500 diesel.Re: Route from Birch Bay, WA, to Casa Grande, AZ - Comments?I usually pull the route that 2gyspies recommended when going home from Bothell to Texas. The only thing about your route is one rv park, Redding premier was a little tight to get into, the interior roads were narrow as were the sights. We stayed in Red Bluff for the last 3 years at Durango RV resort, It is first class 5 of 5 stars and about the same price as Premier in Redding. Headed home Tuesday but not pulling this year, truck with canopy only. Be safe...John P.S. we stayed at Palm Creek last year, First Class.Re: Boise Idaho to Albuquerque NM in MarchRenee, thanks for your thread, I will be traveling the route that Texan described sometime in the next month on my way home from Seattle to the Woodlands TX and my first stop will be Meridian. Then Moab, Albuquerque or Santa Rosa NM, then on into Texas by way of Lubbock. We are not pulling this year and are going to do about 500 mi. a day. I want to make a quick trip out to Arches NP and see some new country on the way home. Thanks again have a good trip in March!Re: Boise Idaho to Albuquerque NM in MarchthanksRe: Boise Idaho to Albuquerque NM in MarchTexan; I will be headed home in the next month by the route that you have described in your post. I,m wondering if you go to Shiprock or Durango on 160 before picking up 550. I'm returning home to Texas from Seattle in the next month and am not pulling this year (pickup and canopy only). Thanks John.
