My 2nd AC in the bedroom is freezing up on me at night when the outside temperature drops. I wake up around 2:00 am just to find the bed wet at my feet... Haha no need to comment. Took off the filter side and felt up around the top and felt ice. The instruction manual said it may freeze up at knight if the temperature outside dips to 75 degrees. Is said to turn the unit's temperature down but this is imposible because I can not control the air temperature. Does anyone have any sugestions?Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Just to give everyone an update on my A/C duct issue... I posted previously about the lack of air presure through my ducts with both A/C units... After waiting three weeks to get a total separate part for the sofa, I decided to pick it up and look at the A/C myself. With a handy little mirror and flashlight I discovered the Ducts that are lined up on the right side are for the rear unit and the ducts on the left side are the front unit.. No Blockage in the ducts but the Knucklehead that installed the units from the factory wrapped the tin foil tape over the duct openings on both units. I took a utilitly knife cut an opening to reveal the Duct. Imagine that... I realize things happen but that was ridiculous that this wasn't checked.... Everything works great now. So you may want to check yours if you are having airflow issues. Happy Camping.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Ok... So I should close the A/C ducts in the bedroom (since we have the 2nd a/c.) This should help push more air through the other ducts. It's just that I see no noticable difference or increase in air flow when I close the Quick Cool Vents. I will check it again and close all the vents accept the ones in the kitchen area to get more air to the center of the Trailer. I hope this works. Any other input would be greatly appriciated.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!I have a question for all of you 35RLTS owners... I live in Texas and it's starting to get warm. I think i'm having problems with my A/C units. My understanding (the same with my previos TT) is that when you close your vents to the A/C unit itself then it will automaticaly push a lot more air through the small round vents throughout the trailer. I feel no difference in air flow. Is this right? Also, are the ducts from the front to the back tied in with both A/C units. So if they are both on it should push even more air through the smaller round vents. I hope you guys have an answer. It's at the dealership right now getting looked at. Thanks in advance for your comments.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!I hope everyone is doing well in regards to the water heater the electric and the gas work the same. Just flip whichever one you want to use and presto, hot water. I posted a comment a few pages ago stating that my bedrails came in contact with my 35RLTS and is wasn't pretty. I ordered a new panel from Jayco (that was bent up during the mishap) and it was only $17. So I will be installing it this weekend. I also will be taking it out and will measure the distance between the bedrails to see if I'm ok and it was an issolated situation. Keeping my fingers crossed that getting it out of my property which is uphill and geting it back on level road might be a little scary but will have to keep a close eye on it. So far so good... really enjoying it.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Ok... we picked up are 35RLTS on the 14th and had a great trip back to Texas. We only have a few problems that need to be addressed but I wanted to check to see if any of you were experiencing the same problems. The main issue is that the dining room slide is staining the carpet black and I'm not sure why. Can anyone shed some light on this? A few other lessons learned on my part was that the Washer/Dryer uses anywhere from 7 to 18 gallons of water, make sure the grey water valve is open or it will flood the bathroom. The cabinet door under the TV may have come open during transit (or my wife didn't close it all the way) and when we opened the slide it got hung on the handle and broke the door. and the worst was that dented the back bed rail of my truck when I was pulling it into my property and dented under the 5th wheel section... Minor but none the less, a lesson well learned. Other than all of that we love it.
