What this allowed an owner to do was run the pressure at 60F, 45R when there was no load, and the TPM would not go off. Then under regular use, you needed 60F and 70R. I have a 3500, I find that my tires wear well with regular 7500 mile rotations at 60F and 55R. The fronts wear more on the shoulder, the rears wear more on the center. With rotation, you get an even wear. Whenever I haul a load of pavers or sand, etc... then it's 80psi rear, front stays at 60psi.Re: Engine shut off, no warning wannavolunteerFT wrote: I had that happen to me back in November in my 2010 F150.. Mine shut off once, restarted and I assumed it might be trash in fuel line (I was stopping and starting and turning around on mountain roads). It stopped again about 5 minutes later so I called for help. I was miles from campground in NGA mountains and several hundred miles from home. I got a tow to local Dealer as I didn't want that happening with TT attached. Turned out there was a service bulletin for some type wiring short between fuel pump and computer controls. Only took them a couple of hours to diagnose and repair (thank goodness). I was kinda bummed that my local dealer had not mentioned the service bulletin when I had the oil changed/basic service done just a week before. Yeah, there's a little module that controls fuel flow for the F-150's, it's on a ladder bar in the rear of the truck. If you live in an area that sprays salt, those little control modules are known to corrode and just die. Cheap part to replace. As others suggested, do the cheap stuff first: 1. make sure you have good power off the battery 2. make sure your fuses are good 3. crawl under the truck and make sure your fuel control module is in good shape 4. Make sure you still have fuel in your tank (you could have a bad gas level sensor). 5. Now the harder diagnosing steps (make sure you have spark, fuel injection, etc...Re: '14 Ram 2500 Axle Seals LeakingOP, I hope this helps you. This is for my 2013. It'll be interesting to see if the HD trucks keep that more squared look or if they retain more of the old big-rig look.Re: 2019 Chevy Silverado Debut from TexasThat actually looks a bit handsome. Nice evolution from where they are now. I especially like that the bumper doesn't have these vast seas of chrome anymore (at least I can imagine it chrome assuming all the black in this pick would be chrome on other trims). Finally, rounder wheel wells. But the side view gets rid of some of that slab styling. Makes for a more interesting side profile.Re: 2011 Ram CTD 3500 fuel filter questionnot to add to the confusion, but the later model engine fuel filter is much better than the original fuel filter used in the before the 2013 trucks. He can use the engine filter just fine (in fact it is a superceding part I believe), only return the rear fuel filter.Re: 2018 Ram Cummins Towing 12.5k mpgWell, I looked at the error for my MPG meter this year. Seems like my average error is 0% (Yes you read that right). With average deviations between -2% and 1%. Pretty darn tight. The only time the meter is off is when I spend half a tank solidly in the city, then the other half solidy freeway driving. Then I get variances of up to 9% off between Dash and Actual.Re: 2011 Ram CTD 3500 fuel filter questionnot stock, but there is a severe service option that adds an additional filter. Pretty rare as far as I know.Re: Turbo or supercharge and NA gas engineWell, Volvo is using both Super and Turbo charging for their next round of "Mainstream" engines for the XC90 SUV's Ward's AutoRe: Wagner rotors and severe duty pads?Brake rotors have a minimum stamped into them on their thickness. If there's plenty of meat on the rotors, it's well worth the 10 bucks a piece to have them turned vs. replaced. I've always turned rotors when switching to a new pad material. As for just a pad change. I'd do that if the rotor doesn't have any serious gouges or surface defects except just a little roughness. So long as I'm sticking with the same pad material.
