You can't say spouse, husbnad, wife, etc.? Anyhoo, I'm pretty sure there are 6 seater trucks still. Not all have the console with the shifter in it. My 2011 XLT has the flip console in the front and it is not a stripped down work model.Re: 2011 Flagstaff Super Lite 26RLSSMy 2012 Flagstaff 27BESS suffers from the soft floor issue. I realize it's basically compressed and not rotted so it's not as pressing of an issue. It's more of an annoyance. Overall and otherwise, I really like our trailer and it's done us very well since we bought it over 6 years ago. I've had to repair a blind and a valance. I've also replaced the high limit switch along with 2 valves on the winterizing bypass on the water heater. I've also replaced the CO/Propane detector but they are supposed to be replaced every 5 years. I'm still on the factory tires and have done the bearings a couple of times. We've put lots of trouble free miles on it and made lots of memories.Re: What was your first RV noob disaster (or near disaster)? mgirardo wrote: My big newbie mistake was listening to the Salesman :) I asked about a weight distribution hitch when we bought our Hybrid Travel Trailer. We had a pop-up before, so WD Hitch wasn't needed. He told use we might not need it and that he'd let me know after we hitched up the camper. When we took delivery and hooked it up, his opinion was that we didn't need it, because the trailer was pretty level. On our first trip out of state into Pennsylvania (lived in NJ at the time), I almost lost the camper on I-476. Between the pot holes and the passing trucks, the camper started to sway and it got really bad to the point that the tires were chirping and the camper was pulling me into other lanes. At least I had the road to myself, since every other car and truck was staying way back. The one thing that saved me was the one piece of advice the salesman gave me that was useful. He said if the camper does start to sway, don't hit the brakes. Hit the gas to straighten it out. My instinct would have been to hit the brakes. I hit the gas, speed up to about 80 mph until it finally straightened out. Drove the rest of the trip at 50 mph there and back. First purchase after we got home was a weight distribution hitch with built in sway control. Went back to PA the next weekend without a problem. -Michael Actually, you should be using the trailer brake in a swaying situation, not speeding up to 80 mph.Re: Sewer Hose Cleaning and Storing stevemorris wrote: same as most of us, dump the black, then the gray, a quick rinse and back into the rear bumper where it belongs the rear bumper is perfect place for it, I wouldn't want it in any storage compartment I do the exact same. I have a clear elbow and a fitting to connect to the sewer inlet that I keep in a separate tote in one of the storage compartments. No need to overthink things.Re: Keurig coffee makers for the RV irishtom29 wrote: On any forum, any, when a person asks a specific question about Keurig machines you can bet your life some smug popinjays will go on about how they make coffee a better way, how K coffee isn't real coffee and other such nonsense. It's amusing. Yep. Every food or drink has its snobs that deride all other kinds but theirs. I use the K15 single cup model with no reservoir and I love it.Re: clip on mirrors? SoundGuy wrote: aftermath wrote: There are CIPAs and then there are CIPAs. And there is another brand called "Longview" that looks similar but attaches in a different manner. I've owned both and find the current, authentic CIPA mirrors I bought for my 2012 Silverado mount much more securely than did the Longview brand I had years ago on our Explorer, offer a rock solid image at all speeds, and are much cheaper than factory towing mirrors. :B I have a set of the LongView slide on mirrors for my 2011 F150 and they have never vibrated and if they have it's never been enough to make them unusable. I'm just trying to see traffic while I'm driving and things behind me when I'm backing up. I don't need to read small print from 50 yards away.Re: Cannot find my city water connection 2015 grey wolf powerstrokeaaron wrote: Ya says city water connection has the black water flush on the right side next to the fresh water tank fill Wow. That's some ridiculous design right there. I'd love to see a picture if possible. What's the actual model number?Re: Ouch! Invisible bugs? Kittykath wrote: On a military base, next to a small lake. Pretty sandy soil I noticed. Lots of pines. We were enjoying a nice, calm evening, until the darn things chased us in early! And the cockroaches!! Yikes! I've never seen them before either. Cockroaches?? I would bet that they are just beetles.Re: How do you keep plastic leveling blocks from slipping? mtnbbud wrote: On my last trip, I was having trouble keeping my Camco leveling blocks from sliding on the blacktop as I was driving my trailer tires up onto them. (I've only used them on gravel sites in the past.) I eventually had to resort to having my wife pull the truck forward while I put my foot onto the front edge of the blocks until the trailer tire began to come up onto the blocks. My wife typically doesn't want any involvement in getting the TT level. Is there a trick to keeping the blocks from sliding? (The blocks also shot out from under the tire when pulling off of them when getting ready to leavethe site) :h That's a somewhat strange statement.Re: What does TWITTER do?I use it to follow news organizations and my sports teams and leagues that I cheer for. I also follow things like my local power company, highway conditions updates, and a few humourous feeds. I have twitter on my phone so I can easily check these things throughout the day. I get breaking weather, power outage updates and breaking news much quicker this way. I like to know what's going in the world so your mileage may vary. Don't be scared of technology. I'm sure at one time updates through the telegraph seemed like it was all that would ever be needed.
