I had to keep a post a note inside to remind me. I can't tell you how many times I had a similar experience until I started using those notes.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosI will continue to read this thread. I have picked up a lot of great hints and look forward to learning even more. Oh and by the way ......QUIET and QUITE are NOT the same.Re: Stolen Camper UPDATEThat is great news! I will be interested in hearing the details.Re: First RV for Retired CoupleHave you considered a truck camper? The ones being built today are very different than the ones what were on the road when I was a kid. If you plan on doing a lot of traveling they are wonderful! You can park just about anywhere! Their size makes going to hidden sites pretty easy. If you drop the camper you can use the truck as a vehicle for sightseeing. Ours has a slide out and I find that with the camper storage and the back seat of the truck. I have room for everything I need. The truck camper is not as good for long term camping. A rainy weekend can be a little claustrophobic. If you go to a RV show be sure to look at truck campers. I think you'll be surprised!Re: Sad news from Janet Curley...I am so sorry to hear this news. Please accept my condolences.Re: How many TCers here?I guess that makes me 167.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos ctpres wrote: Finding right key for RV in the dark can be easy if you use a small file and notch top of key. I used one notch for passage lock and two for deadbolt. Now I can find the right key and get it rightside up with my eyes closed. Brilliant!Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos Bobbo wrote: Tips: In a full container of baby wipes, add 1/2c of rubbing alcohol. You will dry quicker & really smells fresh. But I do not use it on my face. How do I say this? Lets just say that you don't want to use these "down south" either. I speak from experience!
