I've had 3-4 different Blue Ox and loved them all for different reasons. We use RVi2 brake system. It's ok, but I wouldn't do it again. I'd go with US Gear system. My old back can't take all the bending over!!!!
I would go to an RV dealer. They do this a the time. There should also be circuit breakers on both ends to protect everything. That's what I have on my rig and it works well on a 7 pin to 6 pin cord.
