Easiest we've ever towed. Had base plate installed when we purchased the vehicle and we use the patriot Brake with it.Re: RGVDoes this area also have boondocking options with water, trash and dump areas like Quartzsite, AZ?Re: Best Ham Radio Antenna dfletch wrote: When I had a Class A I had a local shop weld an extra receiver tube on the back and used a Tarheel screwdriver antenna. defletch, I already have a motorcycle lift back there although I am looking at the Tarheel.Re: Best Ham Radio Antenna shastagary wrote: depends on what bands you plan on running. lots of info here fiberglass rv ham radio antenna Thanks for the info Shastagary... I'd like to start using my ham radio again. The coach is fiberglass and aluminum so I'm assuming I am going to need something with a ground plane. Anyone? Thanks!Re: Scary Dinghy EventYou didn't state if your Cherokee was stock or not but with our lifted Jeeps running larger tires and beefed up suspension we had to keep a close watch on our ball joints and connection points for the suspension for wear because we would get a lot of what we call death wobble and the only cure was to stab the brakes and slow down to get it back under control. Only flat-towed the Jeep behind our rig a few times but never had the wobble happen when towing. Maybe check your suspension parts if you do a lot of off-road.Re: Mold in showerAbout every three months when I change our fresh water filter I fill the filter housing about 1/2 full of bleach and then fill our 100 gallon water tank with water. We then disconnect from the city water supply and use the water from the tank. This puts bleach water through all our pipes and down all our drains. The amount of bleach does not seem to hurt our pipes or ourselves. Everything smells great and no mold. A word of caution: You may have to adjust the amount of bleach according to your water tank size.Re: Anyone towing SUVWe flat tow our 2009 Buick Enclave with no issues. Just hook up and pull one fuse.Re: FT and Boondocking - what RV length? We do it all the time in a 40ft.Re: Go Power! 1750HD Inverter beemerphile1 wrote: clhamon wrote: I took JC2's and purchased this one... http://www.donrowe.com/Power-Bright-PW3500-12-p/pw3500-12.htm Great price, free shipping, arrived in 2 days and large enough to convert the whole motor home over to the inverter. I've always heard not to use a pure sine inverter but I can't remember why or what the difference is. Thanks for all the input. Now to see how this one works over time! I think you have it backwards. Pure or true sine wave is the same as what you get from your utility company. Modified is a cheaper version that doesn't play well with some electronics. Oops! I stand corrected... I had it backwards. Thank you for making me look into it again.
