First off, How much camping are doing in a year? if u just want to recharge batteries, small gen set 1000 watts min., u want to use appliances while batteries charging, 2000 watts (plus), does he want a gen set just have one, this sight will recommend a power station to run your neighbor hood, look at what you r going to use, I suggest you go down to tech thread and ask about an Invervter and solar,I have both, a good solar panel with a good controller will keep your batteries topped off, change out your batteries to 2 golf cart batteries, and you will happy, if you do weekend trips batteries will last with conservative usage.We very seldom take our gen with us anymore, solar panel on a dolly so we can move it along with a 30ft power cord for charging has worked well for us. again ask questions, what are your limits, ow long will u be gone ect., ect., good luck rusty401Views0likes0Comments- 202Views0likes0Comments

JiminDenver we have a open range 2012 303bhs and I will check for certain but I do believe we havs the Domectic 13.5. Fan runs for about 30 to 45 sec and you can here compressor kick in and start to run. like I said the Yammi does struggle, but it does start.262Views0likes0CommentsRe: 3000w Inverter generator/AC at altitude
Hi JiminDenver, FWIW my 2 cents, my wife and I camp in Silverton and surrounding areas, Molas lake little Molas lake,Lizard Head, ect,you get the picture. we have a Yammi 2400, rejetted for high altitude to get the fuel efficiany and stop fouling plugs. with everthing turned off and I mean everthing the Yammi struggles to start 13.5 a/c, but it does and runs the ac for a couple of hours, now we bought the champion 3500-4000 a year later and took with us next time we went up, and we are up there about every 2-3 weeks. that gen set runs everything without having to turn anything off, now you cant run the micro and a/c at the same time but it will run it. and on another note we rarely run the a/c up there, there always seems to be a nice breeze and shade262Views0likes0Comments
