If anyone has a factory or aftermarket receiver installed on their Cameo I would love some pics showing the install.Re: 8" liftFirst let me say I love lifted trucks but since I own a 5th I don't drive a lifted truck. You will likely have to accept pulling a tag unless you do go with a 5th wheel dolly system. I have never had any experience with one of these on a 5th but have driven a similar set up in a transport and backing with a dolly system can take a lot to get use to!Re: running lights ok but no brake or turn signalsHad the same thing happen once, it was the trailer fuses on the truck. I was away and used some fuses I knew I didn't need at the time (seat heaters etc.) The only thing I found that may have caused this was the under bumper 7-way plug got water in it driving in heavy rain while we were not towing? I sealed up the back side of the plug and never had another problem.Re: running lights ok but no brake or turn signals DSteiner51 wrote: irbf30 wrote: Plugging in truck and starting while trailer is plugged in to shore power will blow this fuse. Don't ask me how I know this. Hummm? I do it all the time. DSteiner51 after looking at your older tow rig in your pic I can understand why, besides..... I'm not too sure where you would find the fuse box :hRe: Tool box on a 6' bedI have a low profile over the rails tool box that works great, you do have to pay attention turning on unlevel ground but it's not usually a problem.Re: Roof coating success story....DuckCoat...with PicturesI did my roof with DuckCoat 3 years ago and still looks good, maybe not as white as when it first went on but I am very pleased with the way it has held up!Re: Life SpanOur 1997 Golden Falcon hasn't needed any replacement appliances etc. Sure we have replaced some parts here and there but definitely nothing major. Biggest thing is keeping them sealed. Ours sits outside year round. Re: How many take boats with them? travelnutz wrote: Yes, canoes, rowboats. kayaks, and porta boats are technically boats but have a very limited wave action they can take and survive without being swamped or rolled over, or broken up. We see it here repeated over and over every summer. Take their kayaks, canoes, porta boats down to the beach, etc. etc. I have to say we love taking our kayaks camping but we mainly use them on small inland lakes. Yes they do have their limitations but this style of water craft can be enjoyed safely if used properly. I grew up sailing on Lake Huron and know the dangers and how quickly things can happen, that is why we always wear approved life vests while enjoying our kayaks.
