I replaced one of my longest ones on our Phaeton with the acrylic fabric. Nice material, cost less than $250 and wasn't hard to do, especially if the old one is still in place. Go on their web site. You can call them as well to get sample material.Re: Freightliner Brake Controller Harness??You don't have to cut the controller end off. Use the "piggy back" type connectors and splice it in. No cutting.Re: EZpass question part 2Illinois is the same as Ohio. I can use my EZPass on everything from my Motorcycle to our Motor Home. In our case, as long as they have the same number of axles (no tag for us), you can use the same pass.Re: How much does one of the costI lost one last summer on our Phaeton. The hub cover and the retaining nut will cost you just shy of $100. Looks like someone got yours. After replacement remember that they can come loose. Ours did after service on a flat tire. You need to check them for tightness on a regular basis. Just one more thing to remember.Re: safe layovers YoungstownOH to Toledo OHA couple of the rest areas, particularly after you pass the two Sandusky exits (RT 4) have electrical hook ups for a small fee if you like, as well as a dump station. Otherwise, they have huge parking areas.Re: very high fifth wheel and bridge concernsI hate to tell you this, but no trucker's gps covers all low bridges. I also travel pretty tall at 13'4". I am a distribution manager for a rather busy plant and we routinely(4-5 times a week) have trucks getting caught at a low overpass (12'2") that is on a state highway and is only one quarter mile from our plant. To turn around you end up in a residential area and according to the mood of the local LEO you may get ticketed. Every time I hear from the driver-that's the way my gps sent me. The signage for the overpass is immediately after a busy intersection and drivers unfamiliar with the area don't see it because they're worried about making their turn. Why there is no clearly marked truck route through town amazes me. Money maybe? To make a long story longer-do your homework like everyone else says, an RV or Truck GPS will help, but be super vigilant in regard to signage in particularly busy areas where anything can and will happen. Good Luck, you'll be ok.
