In order to know if it is doing anything useful, you need to measure the current from the panel. A clamp on amp meter is the best way to see what it is really delivering. Clamp it on the positive lead coming from the panel.Re: How to keep a TC from being stolen when not on the truck?I'd be curious to see a reference to this ever happening. I'd wager most thieves would not even know how to load it, let alone have a truck to carry it. There are far easier things to steal.Re: Help - jacks are draining my batteriesCheck fluid levels in the batteries.Re: Batteries died...sheesh nickthehunter wrote: So if you spend $225 +/- on new batteries and they lasts 5 years, if you spend $700 (3 times as much) on li batteries will they last 15 years (3 times longer) - or be 3 times better? Yes! in fact more than 3 times longer and better in other ways too. Expect to get 20 years out of them based on charge discharge cycles. Also you can draw them down all the way without damage, so they have effectively double the usable power for the same amp-hour capacity, and they weigh about 1/3 of lead acid. Over life they are far cheaper than lead acid - you just pay more up front.Re: Battery Charging on Truck CamperIf the wiring of the plug is standard, the charge wire will already be there. Here is the standard pinout of all 3 types of plugs: https://www.dieselhub.com/towing/trailer-wiring.htmlRe: fridge blowing outI spent a lot of time on this issue several years ago. The issue seemed to be caused more by the top of the chimney than the door at the back of the fridge. An air deflector in front of the chimney on the roof was the final solution. A furnace air filter taped to the inside of the rear door solved it about 80% - 90% without impacting cooling much. But every camper design is different, with different airflow patterns, so YMMV.Re: So many questionsBased on the angle of the tie downs, best be gentle on the throttle and avoid steep hills.Re: 2021 Palomino Pop-up pickup camper Roof lift motor issueEven with a design defect, the odds of 4 motors failing at exactly the same time are astronomical. I'd try to get another opinion. Is it under warranty?Re: About to leave, truck batteries are dead questionIf I read this correctly the truck batteries are 11.38 and camper batteries are 12.56. This means the camper has nothing to do with it. Problem is contained to the truck.Re: Camper type wood burning stove for home...This one looks interesting... mini wood stove
